Whether you like the show or not, there’s no denying that ‘The Big Bang Theory’ is a juggernaut of a show. It’s gone past 10 seasons and 250 shows, and when a show gets to that magnitude, the stars begin to rake in a lot of cash.
According to The Kiwi Report this is how much each character is making per episode, and WOW they are making bank from this (average) show. These numbers are as of 2017 so they could have gone down a tad just because of the recent ratings, but when you are dealing with millions of dollars, whats a couple hundred thousand, right?
The show’s creator, Chuck Lorre, has about $9 million to spend on each episode so each season has about the same amount as a feature length film. I guess we really are in the golden age of television.
Johnny Galecki as Leonard Hofstadter
Galecki is banking $900,000 an episode and his net worth has gone up to $40 million because of his role in the show.
Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper
As the show’s star, Parsons was making $1 million dollars per episode. But being the class act he is, took a pay cut so Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch could receive the compensation they deserved. So now he makes a mere $900,000 and his net worth is near over $50 million.
Kaley Cuoco as Penny
Cuoco did the same as Parsons as she used to receive $1 million per episode but wanted everyone on the team to be fairly compensated. Even with the paycut she is the highest paid female star in a comedy on TV.
Simon Helberg as Howard Wolowitz
Okay I think at this point you get it, every main character took a pay cut from $1 million to $900,000. During the first few seasons, Helberg was pretty unknown and was making a mere $30,000 per episode. Overall his net worth is at $25 million.
Kunal Nayyar as Rajesh Koothrappali
Ditto for the $900,000 story, cool? A fun fact about Nayyar though is that he’s married to Miss India, Neha Kapur, so his net worth is around $24 million. He was also initially getting paid only $30,000 per episode in the earlier seasons.
Mayim Bialik as Amy Farrah Fowler
After all that talk of compromise of salaries, what did Bialik get? Oh just a measly quarter million dollars per episode. Her net worth then totals out to $25 million still. Before Big Bang, she was in other shows such as Blossom, MacMyver and even Hey Arnold!
Melissa Rauch as Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz
Yep she was part of this whole deal to receive $250,000 per episode. Her net worth is a bit lower at a measly $6 million. Originally she and Bialek were supposed to be guest stars but fans loved them so much they made them into main characters along with the original crew.
