Boss Sends His Ex-Employee Money Online By Accident And Makes Himself Look Like An Idiot

When you are online, it’s possible to misclick and it happens sometimes. But when one is sending money via Paypal, they ask you like seven times if you are sure you want to send money. They even verify the account you are sending money to. So when it comes to screwing up, you just really have to not know what you’re doing. That’s what happened to this boss when he sent money to an ex-employee.

John Woodwork (I don’t think that’s his last name), is the guy in question and he sent money to Imgur user Shhwing. In an interview with Bored Panda, Shhwing aka Stephen said this:

“I did woodwork for him, aging wood and turning the wood into shelves. The reason I left was because he never turned on the ventilation to save money, so there was always sawdust in the air that I was breathing in. He only provided a paper face mask and I started to have respiratory issues.”

So the cheap boss sends money on accident to an employee that didn’t like him for being cheap. Perfect scenario right? Pretty much.

It started off pretty cordial in the beginning…

So this is where John started to lose his mind, even though it was his mistake. Note that John never once apologized for the inconvenience. Sounds like a boss I had once…

This is where Stephen laid into him. I bet he always wanted to do this. Now there was no possibility of firing so he didn’t hold back.

John sounds like a guy that is too embarrassed to ever admit he’s an idiot with technology.

He almost sounds like one of those Craigslists scammers, but he just seems naive at the same time.

I bet Paypal really bought your argument, since you know Stephen never denied you your money. He was just a little busy…

I probably would have stopped replying at this point and let John go crazy by himself, but Stephen is a better man than I.

Stephen also said to Bored Panda:

“I don’t think he was trying to scam me, he didn’t seem like that type of person. I haven’t spoken with him since, I blocked his phone number because there’s no reason I’ll ever need to speak to him again/be bothered by him again.”

Yeah sounds about right. What would you have done?
