Anna and Lucy DeCinque have made waves in the past for not just being identical twins but also for their plastic surgeries.
Spending over $250,000 on procedures, the 33-year-old sisters have both recieved breast implants, lip fillers and more in the past — all in the hopes to become “more identical.”
They have earned the title “the world’s most identical twins,” but at what cost?
The twins are now opting to reverse a few of the treatments for a natural appearance.
After talking with New Idea, an Australia-based news outlet, the pair opened up about their new looks.
“We honestly don’t know why we did all of that stuff to ourselves,” Anna shared with New Idea. “We regret a lot of things, and if we could go back in time, we would do things a lot differently.”
They credit their decision to being bullied on social media.
The pair also share the same boyfriend which caused a lot of supportive comments from fans to pop up. One user underneath their recent video on their YouTube channel commented:
“I think it’s so cool that they do the same stuff all the time they dress the same, eat the same, and share the same boyfriend. I don’t have a problem with that if they are happy with what they are doing then let them do it.”
While another said:
“I wish them best of luck, their relationship is truly beautiful. Their relationship is like a relationship when you have that one friend that you literally do EVERYTHING with. Like you just can’t eat without them or anything. And I find it truly beautiful because that’s a great amount of care and compassion they give each other. And of they want to marry the same guy, please someone make it legal because this is truly beautiful. I really hope their relationship lasts and will forever be a good one.”
The sisters wanted to shift their image after many folks were upset at thier ‘barbie-like’ they showcased in the past.
“The more popular we got, the more haters we had, and we were getting called everything from ‘plastic Barbie dolls’ to ‘fish lips.’ We wanted the biggest everything — particularly lips. We loved the look and feel of big lips. Now we realize they were too big,” said Anna.
The twins have gotten rid of their hair and lash extensions as well as fillers to opt for a more natural apperance.
“No more facial injections for us, and we will never use Botox. We’ve learned from our mistakes,” Anna shared with New Idea. They’re also working to reverse microblading on their brows and tattooed lip liner.
Thankfully, tattoo removal along with a slew of other treatment reversals are possible and the twins couldn’t be happier with their new choices.
Says Anna, “We’re more confident, and happily look people in the eyes now.”
