After marrying a 300-year-old ghost of a Haitian pirate, one Jack Sparrow impersonator has decided to call it quits to their partnership.
Amanda ‘Sparrow’ Large, 46, is married to a ghost named Jack.
They were wed in January but has called the union off, stating, “My marriage is over.”
The two were wed in a boat in international waters that sailed from Ireland so the marriage would be considered legal.
Amanda posted to social media, according to the Mirror, sharing:
“I will explain all in due course but for now all I want to say is be VERY careful when dabbling in spirituality, it’s not something to mess with.”
Last year, the psychic said ‘I do’ to her 18th century hubby. She also shared how sex with a spirit was just as satisfying as sex with a human in the physical sense.
“It is well known that people often feel a spirit touch their hands, their face or their hair.” she shared.
“The only difference with having a sexual relationship with a spirit is obviously that sense of touch goes a lot deeper. You can feel the weight of the spirit, their touch, the pressure.”
“You can literally feel the physical act of what the spirit is doing to you, and the spirit can feel it too.”
Recently, she spoke to the Rainbow Project regarding her asexuality, sharing how she “grew up in a small village in Ireland and sexuality was totally taboo.”
She was married previously — and shared how she had never felt a connection to anyone like the one she had with the ghost.
The mother-of-five shared how her ex-ghost was left at the alter in his earlier life, as well as put to death.
In 2014 – their romance started when she felt his presence and the two started talking.
She shared how, ‘The more I learned about him, the more I liked him.”
And then, in 2015 — Amanda legally changed her name to Amanda Sparrow and spent over £4,000 (or $_____) shifting her image to that of Captain Jack Sparrow, from the popular film Pirates of the Caribbean.
After watching the film for the first time, she decided to go forward with the transformation — her 13-year-old daughter stating that she was just like Johnny Depp’s character.
Amanda has gone so far as to even have tattoos to emulate the pirate and even got pirate-style dreadlocks as well as gold-plated teeth in hopes of looking just like the character.
“My daughter Carla Rose screamed in front of the TV ‘Mum you are so much like Jack Sparrow!’ and I was like – who is Jack Sparrow?” Amanda shared.
“I settled down to watch 15 minutes with her because it was on Sky and I was instantly hooked.”
‘The way he gets on with life, his freedom and his walk is so much like me in personality – I’m quite masculine and have that sense. The way he deals with things is identical to me. I just really related to him.”
No word on if they signed a prenup…
