Despite being a size 8 and having a flat stomach, one teen was shocked to find she was nine months pregnant.
Saffron Heffer, 18, shared with LADbible how she had no idea about her pregnancy until she discovered a bizarre mark on her stomach and, at the suggestion of her mother, took a pregnancy test.

And while it came back positive, Saffron was still not sure how far along she was until she wen to the doctors.
It was there she learned that she was 37 weeks pregnant.
The mark actually was found to be a pigmentation line.
And beyond that, Saffron claimed that she did not show any sign of pregnancy and had been going to the gym as well as the sunbeds without knowing.
Saffron also shared how she had missed periods but believed it was because of the pill she was on.
“It was a surprise for everyone. My mum was just as shocked as I am. I personally didn’t believe it was possible [to not know you were pregnant] until it happened to me.
People said it and I heard the stories and I thought they must have known. But until it happened to me I was completely oblivious.”
After confirming her baby was back-to-back in her womb, an emergency midwife twisted the baby around in Saffron’s stomach — which then ‘popped’ into a huge bump.

In just a few days, Saffron went from having a perfectly-toned stomach to a huge bump thanks to the re-positioning.
And in just six weeks after finding out she was pregnant, the retail assistant gave birth to her son Oscar Heffer on June 3, at 8 lbs. and 1 oz.
Though she was not planning on his arrival, Saffron shares how she adores being a mom:
“I just got on with it and a few weeks later he was born. I wouldn’t turn back now – he’s beautiful.
He’s perfect. If you had to ask for a perfect baby it would be him. He’s so content, he just sits and sleeps and cuddles. He’s so lovely.”

At first, the 18-year-old was scared of just the thought of being a new mom and was not sure how to respond. She originally said she thought her life had ended but now says she would not change a thing.
She said:
“I was just hit with depression and thought what am I going to do? It was the shock – I didn’t know how to respond. After that two weeks I had the get-go mindset that it is what it is. You can’t change anything.
I was just like – right, okay, I can do this. I’ve been strong with other things before. This is a bit bigger, but I can do this. I just got on with it really.”
For months doctors told her that she was anemic and deficient in vitamin D and B12, Saffron could not have guessed she was pregnant.
She even lost weight at one point, dropping from a size 10 to a size 8, and as her symptoms were not improving, she believed she was seriously sick.

“At one point I thought I was dying because I didn’t know what was wrong with me. I was so lethargic and sleepy, I didn’t want to go out, I didn’t want to see anybody. I didn’t want to spend time with anyone ever because the littlest things annoyed me and got on my nerves and I didn’t know what to do.”
Saffron shared how Oscar did not become active until her first midwife appointment — where position was changed.
Saffron shared how the moment was ‘unreal,’ saying that from that moment on – she could feel everything.
“It was so strange. From feeling nothing at all to feeling everything daily is just unreal. I do miss the feeling though, I have to say.” Saffron said.
