Best Dad Award Goes To This Man After He Takes Six Planes Just To Spend Christmas Day With Flight Attendant Daughter

During the holiday season, most folks expect to travel however long it takes to be with both family as well as friends — but sometimes, that is just not possible.

But for one determined dad who found out he would not be able to spend Christmas with his daughter — he found a way to be with her, even if it was miles higher than he was expecting.

Peirce Vaughan’s is Hal’s daughter as well as a Delta Airlines flight attendant.

And as the holiday season is one of the busiest times of the year in regards to traveling, she had to work on both Christmas Eve as well as Christmas Day.

But this did not stop Hal from spending some father-daughter time with Peirce.

Hal decided to jump from flight to flight alongside Pierce, heading from Florida, to Detroit, all the way to Massachusetts.

On one of Hal’s legs of his Christmas flight, he chatted to a man by the name of Mike Levy, who, after learning about how Hal was spending his Christmas – decided to share it via Facebook along with a few pics of Hal and his daughter on Christmas Eve.

The post has since been shared over 27,000 times with over 135,000 likes — with Mike lifting up Hal for being one amazing father and doing his part to spend time with his kid at the most special time of the year.

Mike posted:

“I had the pleasure of sitting next to Hal on my flight back home. His daughter Pierce was our flight attendant who had to work over Christmas. Hal decided he would spend the holiday with her. So, he is flying on each of her flights today and tomorrow around the country to spend time with his daughter for Christmas. What a fantastic father! Wish you both a very Merry Christmas!”

And one very big plus of having a family member work at Delta? Family members are able to receive reduced tickets — something Hal took Pierce upon after learning she would not be able to make it home for the holiday season.

Pierce was surprised with Mike’s post and quickly shared it with her mother, letting her know that Hal had made it back to his destination and thanked her fellow colleagues for being so kind for the entirety of her father and hers’ trek.

Pierce wrote, “Look ma we made it!”.

Hal was even able to get bumped to First Class for part of his trip.

“Dad’s first trip using his benefits was a success! A special thanks to all of the patient, wonderful gate agents around the country and my perfect crew. He made it on every flight and even got first class RSW-DTW (Christmas miracle).

“Shoutout to Mike Levy for being a great first class passenger & helping us to understand how cool this actually is!”

Hal, I think it is safe to say you win the Best Dad Of The Year Award.

Though I will say — I am not sure how you top flying with your kiddo on Christmas for two days straight.

You better start planning for next year!
