Macaulay Culkin Reveals His Relationship With Michael Jackson

The famed Home Alone star, Macaulay Culkin, recently shared the nature of his relationship with Michael Jackson — defending their unconventional friendship.

Culkin admitted that amidst Jackson’s child sexual abuse trial, he had slept in Jackson’s bed many, many times as a young child — describing it as “normal.

When he was just 10 years old, Culkin rose to international fame in the Home Alone movies playing Kevin McCallister prior to being befriended by Jackson.

On Michael Rosenbaum’s podcast, Inside of You, the now 38-year-old actor shared a part of his life that included Michael Jackson — describing the singer as being “hilarious,” “funny,” and “sweet.”

“He reached out to me because a lot of things were happening, big and fast with me, and I think he identified with that,” Culkin said.

“At the end of the day, it’s almost easy to say it was weird or whatever but it wasn’t because it made sense. At the end of the day, we were friends.”

The actor shared how the number one reason others found the relationship odd was because Jackson “was the most famous person in the world.”

“I was a peerless person,” Culkin shared with Rosenbaum.

“Nobody else in my Catholic school had even this much idea of what I was going through and he was the kind of person who’d been through the exact same frickin’ thing and wanted to make sure I wasn’t alone.”

“He was f**king hilarious. He was charming, f**king funny, silly. For me, it’s so normal and mundane.”

“I know it’s a big deal to everyone else, but to me it was a normal friendship.”

Culkin has always insisted he was never abused by Jackson and called the allegations of sexual abuse against his dear friend “absolutely ridiculous.”

He then shared more on his relationship to his own “mean b*****d” father, sharing how he was raised by a large family and attended Catholic school.

Culkin described his father as a “complicated man.”

When inquired by Rosenbaum to explain what Culkin meant by that, he said:

“Honestly, he was a mean b*d. He really shouldn’t have been a father, to be honest.”

“The word ‘proud’ never came across his lips.”

“I do actually go out of my way, when it comes to my brothers and loved ones, when they do something really good or great, I go out of my way to say that I am proud of them, because that’s something I never really heard.”

Culkin shared how he has not spoken to his father in “about 23 years.”

So what has Culkin been up to as of late?

After confirming his exit from Hollywood in 2016, the former child star, 35, soon after spent his free time as a roadie after he announced how he had “essentially retired,” working for Adam Green of the Moldy Peaches and Har Mar Superstar.

In an interview with the New York Times, Culkin shared how he was forced to take walks at either two and four in the morning just to avoid paparazzi and splits his time between New York and Paris, where he faces less intrusion.

Additionally, Culkin has performed in his band Pizza Underground, a bizarre, food-themed Velvet Underground tribute act.

Currently, he is filming the lead part in a comedy-drama by the name of Changeland, directed by Seth Green.
