After being nominated for not one but two Grammy awards, it is safe to say Bebe Rexha is doing something right.
Rexha clapped back at designers who refuse to dress her for the 2019 Grammy Awards saying how she was “too big.”
On Monday, the 29-year-old posted to Instagram to share how she was upset at multiple labels who said her size eight body is too big for them to dress at the event.

“I’m sorry, I had to get this off my chest,” she captioned the selfie video.
“If you don’t like my fashion style or my music that’s one thing. But don’t say you can’t dress someone that isn’t a runway size.”
In the video, Rexha shared in the video how her team reached out to designers to talk about making her a customized dress in February for the Grammmys.
Rexha is nominated for Best New Artist and Best Country Duo/Group performance.

“So I had my team hit out a lot of designers, and a lot of them do not want to dress me because I’m too big. Literally, I’m too big.”
“If a size 6/8 is too big, then I don’t know what to tell you,” Bebe said.
“Then I don’t want to wear your f**king dresses. Cause that’s crazy. You’re saying that all the women in the world that are size 8 and up are not beautiful and they cannot wear your dresses.”
The singer did not share the designers names.
“So all the people who said I’m thick and can’t wear dresses: F**k you, I don’t wanna wear your f**king dresses,” Rexha shared.
In her caption, Rexha said how she was sharing her story to encourage other women to love their bodies.

She also hopes that designers can do the same.
“Empower women to love their bodies instead of making girls and women feel less then by their size,” she wrote. “We are beautiful any size! Small or large!”
Followed by:
“Anddddd My size 8 a** is still going to the Grammys. #LOVEYOURBODY”
In the past, many stars have had issues finding designers to dress them on the red carpet.
Christian Siriano, who has dressed Rexha in the past, has broken down boundaries for being one of the most body positive designers — dressing not only plus sized stars but also every body type in between.
And Rexha is not the only one who has struggled to find a designer to have a custom outfit made for her.

Rachel Bloom at the 2017 Emmy’s was nominated and shared with reporters on the red carpet how her Gucci dress was off-the-rack as designers refused to dress her.
“It is hard to get places to lend to me because I am not a size zero, but also I can afford it, so it’s okay,” Bloom shared.
Stars like Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones as well as Bryce Dallas Howard have each expressed their frustration as well as disappoint with their similar experiences of not having options from designers.
The Grammy Awards is set to air Sunday, February 10.
