A college student named Gabyy Tropea took in tabby cat-Boko, a sweet stray who would wonder around her campus in Texas.
After taking Boko in, Tropea and the cat have been inseparable.

“I found The Bubba on my college campus as an 8 week old! I had a weird inclination to go on a walk at like 12:30 am and found a sick little baby and took him to a vet the next day.”
Tropea shared.
“A week after I found him, we took a road trip to Dallas. He was nervous at first but spending 4 hours in the car got him adjusted. Now when I take him anywhere, he’s fine just as long as he doesn’t have to be in his crate.”
Fast forward some time and the two found themselves in a big blunder in the home — but what type of blunder exactly?
The two were separated.
And that is when the drama unfolded.

Tropea left Boko at home one day as she needed to walk her sister Isabelle to school.
But what Tropea did not realize as she stepped out the door with her keys — was that her sister had locked the door behind her.
When Tropea came back home — she soon realized she would be unable to get in.
And she wasn’t the only one who was worried about this.
“I got to the front door and Boko could hear me trying to get in,” Tropea told The Dodo. “He started crying and scratching at the door.”
Tropea was alone and trapped —- but that’s when Boko decided to be the hero in this story.
“I went to the back patio and he saw me waiting there,” Tropea said.

The patio door was secured with a stick but the clever cat had no issues surpassing that obstacle.
“He started rubbing his face on the stick and I was encouraging him to mess with it. I was coaching him to lift it up,” Tropea said. “He understood what I was trying to tell him and he started lifting it up!”
“I coached him into doing that while out there in less than 10 minutes. He started off by rubbing his face on the stick, then was pushing down on it so I started motioning upward and he did that. He fully understood me. I was blown away.
And just like that, both Boko and Tropea were together once more.

“He was so proud of himself when I got in and I gave him a couple treats,” Tropea said. “He was all clingy and snuggly after that for a good while.”
Boko was not going to let anything keep them apart.
The entire ordeal lasted a grand total of 10 minutes but in that short amount of time — the pair’s love for each other was reaffirmed.
“We went full circle,” Tropea said.

Folks flocked to the post, saying:
“I think you showed him the way how to escape from home..” as well as “That’s it I gotta get a cat. I just don’t believe they’re as evil as y’all say they are.”
Cats are the best creatures on this planet.
