One Thai multi-millionaire has offered a huge sum of money along with his entire estate to whoever marries his 26-year-old daughter, sharing how all he asks in exchange for his daughter’s hand is a man to “work hard and make [her] happy.”
So what’s the catch?
We aren’t sure yet, to be honest.
Maybe you will notice something we haven’t yet…
Arnon Rodtong is 58-years-old and owns a very successful durian fruit farm (yes, that stinky fruit) in southern Thailand.
Karnsita, his 26-year-old daughter, helps him run the family business but as of late — that is all changing as he promised 10 million Thai Baht or $300,000, to the man she marries.
In addition, he will also gift his future son-in-law the biggest durian farm in the area.
Oh, and did we mention it is valued at several million dollars?
Lots of money, a wife AND exotic fruit?
What more could you possibly ask for people?!
In some areas of Thailand — a man usually pays a dowry for his future wife, per tradition.
Rodthong also says he is willing to waive this when the deal is struck.
Hmmm…interesting, veeeerrrry interesting…..
Rodthong says: “I want someone to take care of my business and make it last. I don’t want a person with a bachelor’s, or master’s or philosopher’s degree.”
“I want a diligent man. I just want someone with a hard-working attitude. That’s all.”
That’s it, aye?
While Rodthong has several other kids of his own, including sons, he says he wants to give everything to Karnsita’s husband-to-be.
“As soon as I have an in-law, I will give up all my assets to him,” he said.
Karnsita speaks English and Chinese fluently and is currently, a virgin.
This is feeling like a really bizarre Bachelor situation right now…
In addition, Karnsita also has never had a boyfriend and while she has confirmed she is single — she has been overwhelmed with the responses to her father’s public offer.
She has hinted however that her future husband may need to work to get the money from her dad as she allegedly would like to use it on herself for “plastic surgery in Korea.”
Interestingly, Karnsita admits how she was a bit “surprised” when she discovered what her father had done — being informed about his plan via his friends and not from him.
She continued, saying:
“I first found out about my father’s post when my friend’s showed me. I was surprised but I can see the funny side to it, too.”
This girl is handling the situation very well, if I may add. I feel like most would not take it as well as she.
“It is true that I am still single. If I have to get married with someone, I only want him to be a diligent and good person who loves his family.”
