An animal rights group surrounded him holding signs that included “it’s not food, it’s violence” as well as “meat is murder.”

Disturbing pictures as well as a video show the man ripping into the raw flesh prior to putting it in his mouth and chewing as he stood on the center of the protest.

It is not clear who he or what group he represented.

Vegfest UK manager, Tim Barford shared:

“We knew about the planned protest and were expecting 30 protesters.”

“Three turned up, which was slightly sad for them.”

“But they proceeded to upset kids and members of the public, and with that in mind, the police arrived, gave them a warning and sent them packing.”

“What was interesting was that we had meat eating members of the public saying that this revolting spectacle had encouraged them to give up eating meat – so it seems the anti vegan protest actually encouraged people to go vegan.”

Right after the incident happened, the Brighton chapter of Direct Action issued a statement how uncomfortable meat eaters are made by “seeing the faces of the animals they eat”.

One member of the group added:

“A lot of everyday people walking past are also repulsed by the sight of a pig’s head which is interesting as most of these people eat pigs as well.”

After the man was confronted, the man with the pig’s head put it away and left.

Many decide to become a vegan due to the overwhelming amount of long-term health benefits of eliminating artery clogging as well as disease-accelerating animal products from their lives.

There is also the aspect of becoming a vegan to reduce the negative impacts of animal agriculture on both animals as well as the planets.

“In recent years, the health argument for veganism has gained tremendous traction, as several scientific studies have confirmed what vegans have been saying for years – you don’t need to consume animal products to live a healthy life; in fact, consuming a diet of plant-based whole foods is undoubtedly the healthier choice.” according to One Green Planet.

As the impacts of accelerating climate change have become more widely known, the growing need to help the destruction of our planet is becoming more clear.

“Industrialized animal farming is a huge factor that is contributing to environmental degradation and the facts are so compelling that anyone seeking to live a more sustainable or eco-friendly lifestyle cannot help but question the impact of their food choices on the environment.”

Many who learn about industrialized farming as well as the horrible treatment of animals in factory farms — begin to embrace the animal-free lifestyle.
