Ah yes, Donald Trump invited yet another champion sports team to the White House for dinner and served them fast food.
Serving grease under heat lamps seems to be a staple under Trump’s White House.
That being said —- the women of the Baylor basketball team were not too thrilled as other teams pretended to be — I mean, were.
Kalani Brown, center, took a video which captured the fast-food spread with the words “the moment everyone’s been waiting for” paired with a cry-laugh emoji and can be heard laughing at the display of burgers, fries and pizza.
And as the video ends, she then says “okay Donnie, cool.”
Another weird moment that happened? Trump began to talk about the women’s arms when he was handed one of their standard jerseys by the coach.
“You know, I love those short sleeves,” he said. “Such beautiful arms. Great definition.”
The jerseys were sleeveless — much like those that male basketball players dawn.
Aaaaand cue the Twitter comments that flooded in quickly after the video was posted:
“I will still never understand why he thinks elite athletes like this.”
“Because he has never been an athletic person in any sense of the word.”
“The players should just show up in their pajamas.”
“He’s still serving athletes fast food. Food they could buy their own d*mn selves.”
“They using Donnie’s tanning lamps to keep the fries warm.”
The first time this happened, it was for members of Clemson University’s championship-winning football team.
And due to the ongoing government shutdown that Trump himself forced — there was not enough staff at the White House to serve the student athletes a proper dinner.
So Trump then spread the word how he “saved the day” by personally purchasing “Hamberders” for the players.
The spread featured Wendy’s, McDonalds, Burger King, and Domino’s pizza….
It should be noted however Trump’s diet exclusively consists of fast food so maybe regardless of the shutdown — the particular spread was going happen anyway.
And while not much was known about how the players themselves felt about being served the fast food at their honorary dinner — a video was later revealed with a player can be heard saying he thought that Trump serving them fast food was “a joke.”
So what exactly is Donald Trump’s diet?
According to culture trip, it is quite the meal plan.
Trump is not a huge fan of breakfast but if he does cave, he chooses bacon and eggs, cereal or a McDonald’s McMuffin….not coffee or tea.
Trump also does not eat much during the day, usually going 14 to 16 hours without eating according to former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski revealed in the book Let Trump Be Trump.
He does, however, love meatloaf.
And for dinner? Trump chooses fast food but not just for the taste, but for the reliability/safety.
Trump shared with CNN how “..one bad hamburger, you can destroy McDonald’s. One bad hamburger and you take Wendy’s and all these other places and they’re out of business. I like cleanliness, and I think you’re better off going there than maybe some place that you have no idea where the food is coming from.”
According to Lewandowski, his preferred order is “a full McDonald’s dinner of two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches, and a small chocolate shake – a total of 2,430 calories.”
Trump also adores Lay’s potato chips and Doritos, so much that the White House kitchen is stocked with them. And to wash it all down, he reaches for a Diet Coke — allegedly drinking 12 cans a day.
