Single dad asks daughter for fashion advice and it is the sweetest thing you will witness all day

19-year-old Carli Saville from Texas decided to tweet out photos of her dad Jeff trying on outfits for a date, not suspecting for a moment that he would go viral.

But after 6k retweets and 167 thousand likes, the Texas dad is very popular to say the least.

“I’m getting asked out a lot,” Jeff tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

So on July 6th, Carli decided to post a series of text messages from Jeff, asking the world what he should wear for his upcoming date.

“Life with a single dad, asking for advice on dad outfits,” she posted. “My heart.”

The photos show Jeff dawning two different shirts, both tucked in and hanging loose, with him texting, “Hello” when his daughter takes too long to reply.

The internet fell in love instantly with Jeff, tweeting out:

“He is Twitter’s single dad now, protect him at all costs” and “Man deserves a queen.”

And when someone posted “Dinner on us if he brings a date,” Carli shared, “Considering he got stood up I’m sure he’ll be glad to hear it!!”

But Carli did not tell her dad right away that his fashion consult was not exactly private.

“I didn’t want him to be sad and mad in the same night — I thought he might be embarrassed and a little upset but he took it lightly,” Carli shared with Yahoo Lifestyle. “He was excited watching the tweet get more and more attention.”

“I said, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me,’” Jeff said of his reaction when Carli revealed her tweet. “I didn’t even have a Twitter account, I didn’t even know what Twitter was.”

In his new Twitter bio, Jeff writes: “loving dad raising 4 beautiful girls in Christ.”

“I feel like God has given me something of a platform, in a crazy kind of way, to deliver a message about how special a relationship is,” Jeff shares. “I know enough from being divorced and I know where I need to be now in my life. I have 30 or 40 years left, and if I’m lucky, I want to get them right.”

Folks from all over the globe (including Europe and Australia) all have crushes on Jeff to no surprise. Some are even sending him and Carlie photos of their single moms.

“I’m being asked out a lot,” Jeff says. “But I’m very private about that.”

“It’s unusual. It’s fun. It’s amazing,” he adds. “I don’t know what to say.”

Jeff recently walked into a local restaurant on Friday and the establishment roared in applause. “I nearly fell to my knees,” he says.

And as for Carli, well, she is happy for her dad’s five minutes of fame.

“I hope it brings him a soulmate and someone that can bring him happiness for a lifetime,” she says. “He deserves it more than anyone I know!”
