The Mayo Clinic recently released a study that a dog in your bed can actually help you sleep better.
40 healthy participants with zero sleep related issues were observed for the study along with dogs who were no younger than six months old.

But regardless of size or how often they are moved around the bed and the room at night, the study was conclusive: people slept better with a dog in their room.
The Mayo Clinic’s Lois Krahn shared:
“Most people assume having pets in the bedroom is a disruption. We found that many people actually find comfort and a sense of security from sleeping with their pets. Today, many pet owners are away from their pets for much of the day, so they want to maximize their time with them when they are home. Having them in the bedroom at night is an easy way to do that. And, now, pet owners can find comfort knowing it won’t negatively impact their sleep.”
And now the next time anyone tells you differently, you go ahead and show them this article.
