Independent cat teaches herself to stand like a little human despite disability

After a man in Indiana discovered Roo living outside his house, he noticed her twisted front legs quickly but Roo didn’t seem to mind.

The man, who wanted to help, built a ramp that led up to his porch so Roo could stop for some food and attention.

But when the man was preparing to move away, he reached out to the Official Humane Association of Clark County about his little friend.

“He was afraid the new tenants wouldn’t care for her,” ‎Peggy Campbell-Rensel‎, who works at the Official Humane Association of Clark County, shared with the Dodo.

While the shelter agreed to take in Roo as well as her kitten, they quickly fell in love with her. All things considered, they were concerned about her getting around due to her twisted front legs.

That is, until they watcher her hop, roll and stand on her back legs like a tiny human.

“She doesn’t realize she has any issues,” Campbell-Rensel‎ said.
