London man becomes very first person to be convicted of drunk-driving on a an electric scooter

A man has become the first ever to be convicted of drunk-driving while operating an electric scooter.

And as they say, there is a first for everything.

Dmitry Gromov was found to have been one-and-a-half times over the legal limit when he crashed into a motorbike in London last year.

He reportedly injured the driver and passenger.

Gromov has been banned from driving any vehicle for 16 months and was ordered to fork over £3,367.96 (or $4,400.07) in compensation for the two victims.
