Man has toe stitched to his hand after losing his thumb at work

A man who is a cobbler for a living had his thumb ripped off in a horrifying accident at work.

But thanks to a new surgery, David Lee has been able to get his life back.

Last January, David Lee was trimming the heel of a shoe when his hand got stuck in the machine and his right thumb was cut off.

Despite that happening, the 40-year-old was able to call an ambulance and was quickly rushed to hospital.

Surgeons then removed the big toe from his right foot and stitched it to his hand.

David is one of only a handful of people to have undergone the procedure but more importantly, he has his old job back.

I’ll high five for that!
