“Until you have kids, you don’t truly get it.” That’s what former Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel said while a guest on the IGTV show called Moms In Cars hosted by Christine Lakin and Deanna Stagliano.
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Fishel became a mom for the first time seven months ago. She and her husband Jensen Karp welcomed a son Adler into the world in June 2019. And while motherhood is exactly what she thought it would be, Fishel admits there was one thing that has surprised her.

As many who have followed Fishel’s birth story know, her son was born five weeks prematurely and spent his first few weeks on earth in the NICU. While talking with Lakin and Stagliano, Fishel dug a little deeper, talking about the moments before her water broke and after.
Fishel also updates fans on how her little bundle of joy is doing months after his birth and talks about her latest business adventure that is a haircare line. As we can all remember, Fishel’s Boy Meets World character, Topanga, had great hair and she still does all these years later.

“My baby nurse, I had to go out of town and I really needed her to come in,” she shared. “But she had a baby shower that she had to go to. And I said, ‘It’s okay, you can bring my son to the baby shower, if that’s okay with you.’ I really needed the help. She brings him to a baby shower, and a woman comes up to her and said, ‘Is this your son?’ And she said, ‘No, no, no, I’m just watching him.’ And she said, ‘Well, I just have to tell you, please tell their mom this is a family member of hers reincarnated.'”
Kardashian West continued, “Multiple people that had no idea that was my nanny or anything have come up to my baby to say that he’s a family member reincarnated. So my whole family, all the time, thinks it’s my dad and is just so emotional and close to him.”
Psalm is even left-handed like his late grandfather, she said, adding, that when he completed their family in May, his presence also brought peace between his two oldest siblings, North and Saint. “So, all these things happen. I don’t even know if I believe in reincarnation, but I do now. But I want to believe it!”

Just a few weeks ago, her mom shared another video of Madelyn practicing her “Let It Go” dance moves, but this time it was inside rather than outside in the snow.

A devastated mother is claiming that California police handcuffed her 16-year-old autistic son while he was experiencing a seizure.
The mom, Lourdes Ponce, alleges that instead of taking her son David Ramos to the hospital, police handcuffed him in a restaurant bathroom. In a video posted to her Facebook account, Lourdes can be seen shouting at the police to let her son go.
“He has autism, he has epilepsy, stop it!” she screams at the officer. According to Lourdes, on January 30, the family stopped at Pollo Loco to eat after visiting the Children’s Hospital in Madera. While dining at the restaurant, her son went to the bathroom and began having seizures.
As soon as the mother and her daughter saw David’s state, they called 911 and eight police vehicles arrived instead of an ambulance. Lourdes told ABC 30, “I stood outside the door, I heard him hit the floor, I tried to open the door but it was locked, that’s when I asked for help.”

“Suddenly a Caucasian police officer came in pushing my daughter and me and slammed my son David against the wall and started hitting him,” Lourdes wrote on Facebook. “The officer didn’t bother to ask what was going on and thought he was on drugs.”
The distressed mother claims that even after she explained her son’s condition, the office continued hitting and handcuffing him. “Even after we told him my son’s condition and my son screaming at them that they were hurting him and hitting his head this unfortunate man didn’t care.”
The Fresno Police released a statement to ABC 30, saying “this case is currently under Administrative Review. The review will include the examination of all the information pertaining to the officer’s contact including Body Worn Cameras.”
“He is only 16 years old; the only mistake he made was having a seizure,” David’s sister shared with CNN. David, who has experienced seizures since he was 5-years-old, is now home recovering from the incident. However, she added that her brother is not doing well.
We cannot imagine the look on Kristen Bell’s face when she discovered that her daughter had washed her hair with Vaseline. As it turns out, the petroleum jelly-based product isn’t so easy to wash out of hair, so the panicked actress turned to Instagram to ask for help.
“My daughter just washed her hair with Vaseline and I can’t get it out . . .” Kristen told her followers via Instagram Stories. “Has this ever happened to anyone? I washed it three times now and it’s not getting any better.”

While there are challenges that come with being a celebrity parent, Kylie says the support of her family keeps her grounded. “We all keep each other in check and support each other. I have their support, and I can always run to my mom or my dad or my sisters, and they all know what we’re going through.”
And when it comes to baby number two, she admitted she definitely feels the pressure to grow her family, but there are currently no plans to do that.

Hilaria Baldwin is opening up about the heartbreak she experienced after her most recent miscarriage. In a raw essay for Glamour, the mom and wife of Alec Baldwin shared the pain she felt after losing her unborn child in November, four months into her pregnancy.
Baldwin began, writing, “At four months (16 weeks), I went in for my regularly scheduled scan. As soon as the sonogram image appeared on the screen, I saw that my baby had died. There was no movement, no heartbeat. She was crumpled up, lifeless in my womb.”
As Baldwin subtly revealed, she and Alec were expecting a baby girl. As the mom wrote on Instagram in November 2019, when she first shared the heartbreaking news with her followers, she told her daughter, Carmen, that “this baby isn’t going to come after all…but we will try very hard to give her a little sister another time.”

“I began to cry. The doctor told me to hold still as she tried to figure out what had happened. I couldn’t stop sobbing. I can’t remember much except that I got dressed, thanked everyone for their care, and asked for permission to go. I just began walking,” the mom of four continued.
The Mom Brain podcast host went on to explain the state of shock that she found herself in after receiving the tragic news. “I got in a cab at some point, making calls, scheduling a follow-up [dilation and evacuation surgery] and canceling work accordingly.”
Baldwin added, “I felt like I was in shock. I went into this appointment excited to see her and share pictures with my family and friends; I left needing to tell them all that she had died. It was a surreal turn of events.”
Months before the miscarriage she experienced in November, Hilaria was also open about the fact that she first miscarried back in April.
“In contrast to my spring pregnancy, this baby had a strong heartbeat. We were excitedly making plans — Carmen was setting aside her old clothes, and Alec and I dreamed about what it would be like to have a girl again after so many boys.”
The fitness instructor goes on to say that the pain of her second miscarriage was unlike anything she’d ever experienced.
“Even though I’d had a miscarriage before, I don’t think I could have fathomed how bad it could feel to have a miscarriage at 16 weeks. I had to go home and sleep with my dead baby inside me. I felt sick, sour in my belly, and so devastated. I kept waking up and thinking it must have all been a very vivid bad dream.”
The mom of four admitted that she “cried so much that my eyes were nearly swollen shut.” Baldwin wrote that she “didn’t know the body could make so many tears. This was a pain that I had never experienced before, and it felt suffocating.”
Then, in a truly relatable moment, Hilaria goes on to say that as women and mothers, we tend to blame ourselves when things go wrong. However, in those times of grief, it is imperative for women to be their own advocate and know that they “deserved to heal and to be happy again.”
“As a woman, in charge of housing and growing a baby, it’s easy to feel guilty — as if you did something wrong to cause the miscarriage, no matter how many doctors tell you that’s not the case. Sometimes it’s easier to make ourselves the enemy, to blame ourselves than it is to accept support and care.”
And part of Baldwin’s healing process was the ability to speak openly and freely about her miscarriage. As she wrote, women are taught to remain silent during the early stages of their pregnancy, and through “pain and confusion” of miscarriage. But as the mom wrote, “Reaching out to a support system is vital to our mental health and well-being.”
She then asked, “It’s 2020—why can’t we leave those fears in the past,” before adding, “However you process, do it with no shame and remember that you are not alone.”
Thirteen-year-old Logan Kavaluskis recently lost his father after a nearly decade-long battle with cancer. After an unimaginable loss, Logan received the belated birthday present his dad had planned for him before he passed away.
Logan’s dad, Joe Kavaluskis, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (blood cancer) more than ten years ago, Fox 17 reports. Towards the end of his battle, Joe knew exactly what he wanted to do for son after he was gone.

In a video shared online, Logan is seen going into a pet shop to pick out a puppy for his cousin, or at least that’s what he was led to believe. In truth, though, Logan’s dad had picked out a Boston Terrier to give to his son for Logan’s 13th birthday.
Logan’s dad was allergic to animals, which meant the family couldn’t have one in the house while he was alive. So the father had arranged for his son to get the new pet after he passed.
Logan named the puppy Indie. “I think it’s probably the best gift, I’ve ever gotten, from my dad,” Logan told Fox 17. And Logan’s mom, Melani Kavaluksia, said the puppy has become a welcome distraction.
“So much love, and comfort, and distraction, because we can’t sit still,” Logan’s mom Melanie Kavaluksia told the news station. On the family’s GoFundMe page, they shared that Joe had been through multiple rounds of chemotherapy over the years.
At one point, Joe’s cancer was being well managed, though unfortunately, this particular type of cancer doesn’t go into remission. He passed away just five days before Logan’s birthday at the age of 47.
Logan’s mom told Fox17 that it was important to her and her family to focus on the positive as much as possible. And Joe knew that Indie would be just what his family needed to turn something so heartbreaking into something more positive.
Superstar Lady Gaga hasn’t always felt comfortable in her own skin. The singer’s mom, Cynthia Germanotta, recently opened up about her daughter’s battle with depression which began when her daughter was in middle school.
Germanotta was interviewed as part of Today’s digital series “Through Mom’s Eyes.” During her interview, the mom got candid about her daughter’s struggles with mental health issues, in part because of “severe bullying.”
Germanotta explained that as a child, Gaga—born Stefani Germanotta—was different than her peers. “In middle school, because she was unique, she started experiencing a lot of struggles,” her mom told co-host Shenielle Jones. “You know, feeling isolated from events. Humiliated. Taunted.”

Germanotta admitted that at the time she was at a loss on how to address her daughter’s depression. “I felt where I made mistakes was, I didn’t really know the warning signs to look for,” she said.
As People reports, Gaga has also been open about her mental health struggles, including her battle with PTSD. The singer hopes that by speaking about her past she can help fans dealing with similar challenges. The 33-year-old also opened up about being sexually assaulted at age 19.
She said in an interview with Vogue, “For me, with my mental health issues, half of the battle in the beginning was, I felt like I was lying to the world because I was feeling so much pain but nobody knew. So that’s why I came out and said that I have PTSD because I don’t want to hide – any more than I already have to.”
To help support more young people who are dealing with their own mental health issues, the mother and daughter duo created a non-profit organization called, Born This Way Foundation, in 2012. Germanotta said of the charity:
“It’s something that’s very, very personal to us and it goes back to the struggles Stefani had growing up. She envisioned a world where young people were better equipped to deal with struggles than she was.”
During an award show speech, Gaga said that she wished there was a place she should turn when she was dealing with bullying and depression as a teen. “I wish there had been a system in place to protect and guide me. A system in place to empower me to say no to things I felt I had to do. A system in place to empower me to say no to things I felt I had to do.”
Gaga continued, “A system in place to empower me to stay away from toxic working environments or working with people that were of seriously questionable character. There were days I struggled or couldn’t make it to work, and I don’t want that for other artists, or for anyone.”

The furious mama is blaming the father of her child, Rob Kardashian, and his sister Kylie Jenner for not asking her permission before taking her daughter for a spin and for reportedly “using” the tragic death of Kobe Bryant.
The parents have found themselves in a bitter custody battle following their split and this latest incident is only adding to the drama between the former couple. Chyna’s attorney, Lynne Ciani, released a statement to Entertainment Tonight regarding the report that Dream once rode in the helicopter that crashed in Calabasas on January 26:

“No parents should find out after-the-fact that their child has participated in a dangerous activity without their permission. Chyna was distraught to learn that Kylie had taken Dream on that helicopter ride in November 2019.”
The statement revealed that Chyna and Rob have since talked about the miscommunication. “Chyna voiced her strong objections to Rob [Kardashian] and insisted that it never happen again. Chyna sends her heartfelt prayers and condolences to all of the families impacted by yesterday’s tragedy.”

“The industry was saying, ‘Look out Naomi Campbell, here comes Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell sit your butt down, this younger one is coming to take your place,'” E! News reported.
Tyra went on to explain that Naomi had her fired from jobs, said hurtful things behind the scenes, and was just an all-around bully. Years later, Tyra had Naomi on her show and Naomi “couldn’t remember” doing any of those things.
in 1994, actors Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte had a meltdown onset of the film, I Love Trouble. The two grew so frustrated with each other that they refused to film together and instead, filmed scenes with stand-ins.
The Los Angeles Times reported at the time, “Roberts reportedly wasn’t thrilled with Nolte’s machismo, so she would deride and insult her co-star. Some on the set claim that he became so annoyed with her attitude that he would do things to agitate her even more. The discord was so intense, the sources say, the two played more to stand-ins than to each other.”
After the film wrapped, Julia said, “From the moment I met him we sort of gave each other a hard time, and naturally we get on each other’s nerves. He can be completely charming and very nice, he’s also completely disgusting. He’s going to hate me for saying this, but he seems to go out of his way to repel people. He’s a kick.”
Nick responded by saying, “It’s not nice to call someone ‘disgusting.’ But she’s not a nice person. Everyone knows that.”
Apparently there was some serious drama on the set of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Actors Will Smith and Janet Hubert-Whitten had a falling out so bad that Janet was replaced on the sitcom by Daphne Maxwell Reid in the role of Vivian Banks.
Janet was asked years later if she’d consider doing a reunion with the cast of the show and she responded, “I will never do anything with an a— hole like Will Smith.”
In 2017, Janet was shown a picture of the cast reunion and commented about the photo on Facebook, “I have no interest in seeing any of these people on that kind of level.”
Actors from Sex and the CityKim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parkerreally do not get along. There have been so many rumors over the years about these two and the degree of their distaste gotten even more bitter in 2018. Kim was grieving the loss of her brother and took to Twitter to thank fans and former castmates of the show.
Sarah sent her condolences to Kim, but Kim didn’t want any it. She shared a message on Instagram that read, “I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker.”
“My Mom asked me today ‘When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?’ ” she wrote in the post’s lengthy caption. “Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now.”
Kim added she wanted to be “VERY clear” that she wants nothing to do with SJP.
In January of 2018, TV personalities Kim Kardashian and Lindsay Lohan (hello again, Lindsay!) got into a teeny tiny little fight online. Kim posted an image of herself with a new hairstyle that included some controversial braids. Lindsay commented on the post, “I am confused.”
Kim was also suffering from some confusion, she fired back, “You know what’s confusing… your sudden foreign accent.”
In March of 2016, Kim Kardashian (oh hey, Kim!) posted a nude selfie to Twitter and Instagram. The comments on the photo, of course, were divisive (divisiveness is the Kardashian secret sauce). Star, Bette Midler was not having it and went after the reality star on Twitter.
“Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today. If Kim wants us to see a part of her we’ve never seen, she’s gonna have to swallow the camera,” Bette wrote.
Kim responded on Twitter, “hey @BetteMidler I know it’s past your bedtime but if you’re still up and reading this send nudes #justkidding.”
Don’t come for Kim on Twitter and pray don’t ever catch Bette’s attention.
This instance should really only include actor Chloë Sevigny, who went out of her way to shade Jennifer Lawrence! In talking about some of her fellow actresses to V Magazine, Chloë said, “Jennifer Lawrence, I find annoying. Too crass.”
Back in 2013, celebs Lady Gaga and Kelly Osbourne got into it or rather, got deeper into it. It all started when Kelly criticized Gaga for not walking the red carpet at the 2009 Grammy Awards. Gaga’s fans did not like it!
In 2013, Gaga tried to bury the hatchet by reconciling with Kelly through Kelly’s mother, Sharon Osbourne. In short, Gaga gave Sharon a birthday cake for Kelly on TV (it’s as ridiculous as you might think).
Kelly responded by writing, “Not to be ungrateful but why would you send me a birthday cake via my MOTHER in a country half the (world) away? … #EatMyS***.”
The host of Watch What Happens Live Andy Cohen shared in 2013 that his least favorite guest on the show was Jillian Michaels, host of The Biggest Loser. Any explained, “She freaked out after the show and was so mean to my staff.”
It took an entire five years for Jillian to respond and claimed that Andy “hates women” and she also trashed his Real Housewives franchise.
Andy fired back, “This is the woman who screamed at people for a living on The Biggest Loser. She should stay in her own lane.”
The View’sWhoopi Goldberg responded to has-been Roseanne Barr after Roseanne posted a doctored photo of Whoopi at the Women’s March. The fake photo showed Whoopi wearing a t-shirt that had a vulgar image of the President superimposed on it.
Whoopi explained that the shirt she had actually been wearing said, “And you thought I was a nasty woman before? Buckle up, buttercup.”
Whoopi hit Roseanne again after she posted a racist tweet, “Roseanne. Just because you were caught with your pants down, don’t try to drag other people down with you,” Whoopi said. “You understand? Don’t do that … The bottom line is simply this: I didn’t fake my shirt, someone else faked my shirt. But that’s your tweet. That tweet came from you. So that’s yours. You did this to yourself.”
In August 2016, The Rock AKA Dwayne Johnson took to Instagram and posted a now-deleted rant about one of his costars from the Fast and Furious franchise. He said that he had “zero-tolerance for candy-a—s.” So who was the candy-a—? None other than actor, Vin Diesel.
The post was deleted and the matter seemed to be resolved, but Vin Diesel still had something to say about the rumor. He told the Today show “I don’t think the world really realizes how close we are, in a weird way. I think some things may be blown out of proportion. I don’t think that was his intention. I know he appreciates how much I work this franchise. In my house, he’s Uncle Dwayne.”
In September of 2017, Jane Fonda was asked by Megyn Kelly about her history of plastic surgery on live television. Visibly shaken Jane replied, “We really want to talk about that now?”
A few months later, Jane and Lily Tomlin were promoting their show, Grace & Frankie on the Today show. Lily made a joke that Jane and herself had been friends since their “first face-lift.”
“We don’t need to hear that. Who are you, Megyn Kelly?” Jane responded.
Megyn responded by calling the actor “Hanoi Jane.”
Megyn’s daytime talk show has since been canceled.
As part of the coverage of the 2015 Oscars, E! News enlisted the help of Fashion Police host, Giuliana Rancic to cover the red carpet. Actor Zendaya wore locs to the event and Giuliana criticized the 18-year-old actor’s hair saying her dreadlocks must have smelled like, “patchouli oil and weed.”
Zendaya responded on Instagram in a thoughtful post that said in part, “There is a fine line between what is funny and disrespectful. Someone said something about my hair at the Oscars that left me in awe. Not because I was relishing in rave outfit reviews, but because I was hit with ignorant slurs and pure disrespect.”
Giuliana eventually apologized for the comments on air. Both Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin quit the show in protest.
Up until 2016, Kanye Westand Jay-Z had been friends and collaborators. But something changed, and while in concert in Sacramento, Kanye went on an infamous rant about Jay-Z saying, “Jay Z, call me, bruh. You still ain’t calling me. Jay Z, call me… Jay Z. Hey, don’t send killers at my head, bro. This ain’t the Malcolm X movie. We growing from that moment. Let ‘Ye be ‘Ye.”
Kanye went on to criticize Jay-Z for not calling after Kim Kardashian was robbed in Paris and not setting up playdates for their kids… It was weird.
Jay-Z hit back on his “4:44” album. In the song “Kill Jay-Z,” he raps: “You ain’t a saint / This ain’t KumbaYe / But you got hurt because you did cool by Ye / You gave him $20 without blinking / He gave you 20 minutes on stage / [What] was he thinkin’?”
In an interview with Rap Radar Jay-Z addressed the feud saying, “What really hurt me was you can’t bring my kid or my wife into it. You brought my family into it, now it’s a problem with me. That’s a real, real problem. And he knows it’s a problem.”
That was a whole lot of celebrity beef! We could never choose a favorite celeb feud because each one is uniquely annoying and stupid in its own special way. Feuds are fun because they generally don’t result in any real harm. Ultimately, they’re pointless. But, it’s always fun to watch actors, musicians, and other big personalities get into it and we are so excited for any updates on the bad blood between these folks.
“How old should kids be to bathe alone?“ How old were your kids when you let them bathe by themselves, no adult in the room? I have an 8 yr old son who can pretty much bathe by himself but I still sit in there with him to make sure he does it right.”
The community advice seemed to be pretty consistent across the board. Allow them to bathe alone not based on their age, but on whether they were capable of doing so. There were a variety of ages that parents allowed their children to bathe alone, ranging from ages 4 to 8 years old. What age did you let your children bathe alone?”
“I wash my 6-year-olds hair and she washes the rest of her body. I leave her alone to play afterward.“
“My girls are 7 and 8 and I started teaching them to bathe themselves around the time the youngest was 5. They bathe themselves clean now. No issues.“
“I sit in the room or in the hallway right outside the door with the door open with my almost 4-year-old. If I walk away he has to sing his ABCs until mommy returns. Its normally just to get his 10-month-old brother out of his crib.“
“Our daughter started showering herself at 8. She could bathe herself for years but the hair we always have to do or at least supervise for her until recently. She’s 9 now and can do it all herself just fine. I remember doing it completely myself at like 6 though so every kid is different.“
“Mine is 9. He has been showering by himself for at least a year. He STILL doesn’t always do it right but I just send him back in to do it again or rinse the shampoo he missed out in the sink. I’m pretty much under the impression my boy isn’t going to shower properly the first time until he gets old enough to start wanting to impress a girl because he really could care less if he’s clean at this point. I do all the caring about that for him. He just handles the eye-rolling on the way back to the shower.“
Final Thoughts
The most important factor in answering this question is safety. The Parents.com team makes a very good point worth sharing, “Bathing alone can be risky because of drowning dangers, and it can take just a few seconds for even older kids to slip and drown in only a few inches of water. Because of this, many experts suggest waiting until your child is at least 8 before allowing him to dunk in the tub alone.”
Every child reaches milestones at their own pace. As a mother or a father, we have to decide when they have reached that milestone of showering/bathing themselves. I have four children and they all began bathing themselves at different ages, but by 8-years-old they were all bathing themselves with very little help from me.

When no one believed a teenage girl from Florida that her father was abusive towards her and their family’s dogs, she took matters into her own hands.
According to WEAR, no one believed the 14-year-old daughter of 47-year-old Damon Richard Becnel when she told people that he had been abusing her for years. So, in order to stop the abuse once and for all, she planted a video camera in their bedroom.

After catching Becnel in the act, the brave teenager turned the video evidence into the authorities. The video has now spread across social media. The teen’s mother gave WEAR permission to share the video, so long as her daughter’s identity isn’t revealed.

A 14-Year-Old Girl Installs Video Camera in Dad’s Home When No One Believed He Was Abusing Her
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the man in the two videos the teen turned over is, in fact, the 14-year-old’s father. The video shows Becnel yelling at her and threatening to kill their dogs. The abuse then escalates and Becnel becomes physical with the teen.
He is seen throwing his daughter against a wall and headbutting her. The teen is heard in distress, constantly begging her father to stop.
The 14-year-old’s mother told WEAR that she knew her daughter had tried reporting the abuse for years and that no one was believing her. It’s unclear how much the woman knew about her daughter’s abuse.
The video is reportedly six minutes long. Becnel, according to The Destin Log, has been described as a prominent businessman within the Destin, Florida community, who is a managing partner for at least 26 businesses. A woman, who used to work with Becnel, says she’s outraged that the father was allowed out on $4,000 bail.
“His behavior. We’ve all seen bits and pieces of it, but not that side of him in the familial sense. He committed acts against two of the most innocent creatures this earth has graced us with, a child and a puppy. That’s what I think everyone is up in arms about. I think it needs to be handled the right way or it’s going to be really bad.”
She continued, “There’s a lot of things that get brushed under the rug with families that have been here for a long time and have worked very hard to have a well-respected name. It just seems this generation of their children are running wild and they’re not held accountable for anything.”
Another member of the community, Carmel Ceravolo, agrees and also hopes Becnel isn’t just let off with a slap on the wrist because of his prominence within the community.

Ceravolo said, “I’m hoping local law enforcement, judges, and state attorneys do their due diligence to ensure justice is served. We need to ensure this guy does not just get a slap on the wrist because he’s from Destin and has money.”
Mom Fights for Custody
Shockingly, because the teen’s mother did not have custody of the girl, Department of Child Services’ safety plan allowed Becnel to choose who would look after her. He chose one of his best friends. According to WEAR, the mother is now fighting to get custody of the teen.
After filing a Petition for Injunction Against Domestic Violence, The Destin Log reports that the mother claims her daughter asked her father is “he was going to kill her, to which he replied ‘maybe.’”
And after he reportedly confiscated the teen’s phone, ″(She) escaped Damon’s house while he was asleep and walked miles to Walmart in Destin, purchased a burner phone and called her babysitter.”
According to The Destin Log, Becnel was charged with child cruelty and cruelty to animals on January 2.
Weddings can be lots of fun, but they usually aren’t without some amount of drama. Often that drama centers around who is and isn’t invited to the wedding, with babies and children often topping the list of divisive guests. One British mom reopened the debate when she asked the Internet for an opinion as to whether “… my 5-month-old breastfeeding baby [should] be allowed at the destination wedding on the other side of the globe?’ She assumed the answer was “yes” and that the bride and groom were actually decent people.
After spending over $5,00 on travel expenses, a year of planning, and a plane trip across the globe, this mom found out her breastfeeding baby was in fact not invited to the destination wedding. That’s right. This is the world we live in!
One mom booked flights for her family a year in advance for a wedding in Australia.
The mother who posted anonymously as ‘Lucy B.’ on the message board Netmums, says she heard about her cousin’s wedding in Australia. She knew flights would only get more expensive every day that she waited, so she booked flights for her entire family from the UK to Australia. The total cost of air travel: $5,312. Not cheap!
The mom regretted booking the flights the instant the official wedding invitation arrived. Her children were not invited to the wedding. With young children (one still nursing), did her family really expect her to leave her kids in the UK? To make things even worse, she was asked to find a babysitter in Australia.
“I researched online but couldn’t find anyone (they live in the suburbs),” she posted. “Everyone I knew in Australia, was attending the wedding,” she added. “Am I being unreasonable to think it’s a joke they can’t make an exception for a breastfeed baby flying from England?”
Of course, it’s up to the couple getting married who can attend their wedding. If they want to implement a “no kids” policy that’s their prerogative. However, when a family member spends thousands of dollars, flies across the globe, and has a child that’s breastfeeding, you should make an exception.
How hard would it be for the bride or groom to delegate arranging childcare? Someone in the wedding party must know a babysitter that lives in their neighborhood! It’s not too much to ask and ‘Lucy B.’ has every right to be angry.
Although the angry mom has not posted an update to what went down at the wedding, we sure hope an exception was made. Parents shouldn’t be ostracized for having kids. Moral of the story: when a breastfeeding mom flies to another hemisphere for your wedding, be accommodating.
Denise Richards feels honesty is best when it comes to raising her daughters, even if that means diving into uncomfortable conversations that come with being a public figure. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star recently dished on all things parenting and Playboy as she sat down with Dean McDermott, Nicky Paris, and Adam Hunter for their Daddy Issues podcast.
“I’m honest with them,” Richards said. “They heard that I was in Playboy. I didn’t even think that they would know what that is … now kids can go on the internet and see all kinds of things. So having to explain that kind of stuff … but they don’t google [me]. I don’t think they want to know certain things, either, so they’ve heard bits and pieces.”
Denise has lived through many dramatically public moments, including her infamous relationship with Charlie Sheen, but has managed to always keep it real with daughters Sam, Lola, and Eloise.
Her one regret? Giving her girls smartphones too soon. “I think the biggest mistake I made as a parent was giving my kids a phone that was not a flip phone,” she said.
“It is so hard to control the internet on the phone. Even putting things on there to block it, it doesn’t work, they’re smarter than us. So if I could go back and do anything over, I would definitely not give them a phone where they have access to social media and the internet.”
Something tells us she is hardly the only mom with that specific regret.
An Alabama mother of three got an unpleasant surprise when she started serving her children some green beans for dinner recently.
Michelle Bentley told Dearly that she and her 7-year-old daughter were snacking on some green beans as they waited for other supper food to finish cooking. She explained:
The beans were done cooking and as usual my 7-year-old and me would walk by and steal a bean off the top, blow it to cool and eat it. We LOVE the seasoning.
Bentley said the both consumed “a handful each” before she started serving up the beans onto her children’s plates.
That’s when she noticed a snake’s head that had somehow ended up inside the can of beans. The mom said:
When I spooned it out I seen the snake head on the spoon. I screamed, my 2 girls were in the kitchen and seen it and screamed. My 7-year-old who ate the beans started getting upset because she knew me and her ate it and she was scared she was going to get sick.

Bentley waited until she was calm and then contacted the manufacturer using the number on the back of the can.
She said the woman who answered “wasn’t shocked” and offered her two vouchers for more green beans. But at that point, Bentley said she’d lost her taste for the vegetable.
The mom took photos of the snake and shared them in a now-deleted Facebook post as a warning. Bentley told Dearly:
I just felt like I needed to warn other people, not to ruin their reputation and business, but it’s something people should be aware of.

So, tonight we brought dinner to my husband’s grandmother’s house for Easter. She has a mirrored wall next to her table. While we were eating, my 6-year-old daughter was staring at the mirror and making silly faces. My husband’s grandma asked my 6-year-old why she was staring into the mirror. My daughter answered, “because I’m beautiful!” My husband’s grandmother’s said, “You’re lying. I’m looking at you and you’re not.”
I was honestly so shocked, and my poor little girl just got quiet and looked at her plate. I looked at my husband and let him know he needed to handle it, because I knew I would be mean if I had to address her since I had already had to tell her earlier in the day to stop harassing my daughter about not eating enough. He wouldn’t say anything (not surprising), so I told him to pack up our things because we were leaving.
We packed up and headed to the car. I got my daughter and myself in while he said goodbye and hugged her behind the car. Am I wrong for being mad? I just feel like a comment like that about a 6-year-old is just unnecessary and mean. I also feel like I lost a ton of respect for my husband for not standing up for our daughter. How would you handle this situation? She did say it like she was joking, but a 6-year-old can’t tell the difference, and I know my daughter’s feelings were hurt.
“Family or not, if it involves my child I’m saying something. You are their advocate, and, obviously, you could tell it hurt her feelings. So why not stand up for her? I’m just saying I wouldn’t have been quiet.”

Be Angry, and Consider Making Changes to the Relationship
“I would not have kept quiet. I would have said something. I would be pissed with everyone involved. And probably not go back over there or allow the kids over there, if that’s the way they treat and talk to them.”
There’s a lot of good advice to parse through here. Some points to consider:
The original poster is certainly entitled to her anger! What an awful situation!
No young child deserves to be talked to like that.
Assuming the grandmother-in-law is of sound mind, there is not really an excuse for making a remark like that.
People disagree about whether or not the original poster should be mad at her husband for not handling the situation. One thing seems clear, however: She should talk to him and let him know, at least, how she feels about what happened. Work out a system to deal with issues like these moving forward.
Think about telling the grandmother-in-law about how remarks like that won’t go unchecked in the future.

A Georgia mom is speaking out on behalf of her 5-year-old daughter who was attacked by an upperclassman on her way home from school.
As WMAZ reports, mom Aubrey Corley says her daughter takes the bus to and from her elementary school every single day.
However, when the 5-year-old walked off the bus on December 4, Corley immediately noticed her daughter’s face was sporting new scratches and bruises.
When Corley asked what had happened, the little girl said:
A 12-year-old gave them to her, who “grabbed her throat and told her to stop breathing, grabbed her hair and slammed her head against the bus wall.”
She was also hit with a book bag and “poked in the buttocks.”
Corley was crushed that her daughter had to experience such violence, but she also knew she had to be strong for her little girl and fight for justice.
The mom told WMAZ:
“I wanted to just break down, but I had to be strong for her.”
Corley continued by describing her daughter as the most loving child, making it difficult to imagine why someone would want to hurt her:
“She is the most loving, outgoing child. She can get along with anybody,”
According to WMAZ, Corley took action by reporting the physical bullying to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, who has since filed charges against the suspected 12-year-old.
The assistant superintendent of the girl’s school district is also looking into taking action of their own.
Jackson Daniel says the school is investigating, disciplining the student, and interviewing the bus driver.
Both authorities and the school district have also reviewed the surveillance footage from the camera installed on the bus.
Investigators described the footage as torture, Corley told WMAZ:
“Mr. Blanks, Adam Blanks, the investigator, he told me that when she got on the bus, the whole 45-minute bus ride was complete terror and torture.”
According to Stop Bullying, here a few signs that could mean your child is being bullied:
Unexplainable injuries
Lost or destroyed clothing, books, electronics, or jewelry
Frequent headaches or stomach aches, feeling sick or faking illness
Changes in eating habits, like suddenly skipping meals or binge eating. Kids may come home from school hungry because they did not eat lunch.
Difficulty sleeping or frequent nightmares
Declining grades, loss of interest in schoolwork, or not wanting to go to school
Sudden loss of friends or avoidance of social situations
Feelings of helplessness or decreased self-esteem
Self-destructive behaviors such as running away from home, harming themselves, or talking about suicide
The website also suggests that it is “important to talk with children who show signs of being bullied or bullying others” because it can often help them “identify the root of the problem.”
The official investigation is still ongoing, which is why the name of the alleged bully and what they are being charged with has not been made public.
