Everyone has their favorite coffee shop and whether it’s the coffee, the snacks or the milk that keeps you coming back — you know you will be welcomed in every time with open arms (as long as you tip well.)
But sometimes, we decide to try a new place and it doesn’t go exactly as we hoped.
Written and produced by comedian Kareem, this sketch sums up that experience.
You may want to put down your coffee, and yes, it’s that funny.

No matter where you stay, your hotel room will most likely provide a safe for your valuables. Whether it’s located atop the mini bar or stored away in the closet, these safes are pretty standard when it comes to hotel room amenities — they offer guests a peace of mind when they leave their rooms.
However, it seems like your hotel room safe may not be safe. According to reports, there’s a master code thieves can use to break into to steal your prized possessions. Youtuber LockPickingLawyer recently revealed how this works in a now-viral video.
In the video, you see the user place a bottle of whiskey into the safe. He closes the door to the safe, inputs a 4-digit passcode followed by “lock.” It’s locked and the user is unable to unlock the safe with any other 4-digit number.
Yet, it’s LockPickingLawyer’s next move that leaves many worried. Upon pressing “lock,” the safe goes into “super user mode.” He enters the code (999999), which unlocks the safe. The code is meant for hotel staff to assist guests in case they get locked out — but now, it’s common knowledge.
Explained the user, “it might be a good idea to make sure the hotel reset the administrator password before relying on it to protect your goods.”
While it’s unknown if the master code will work on safes other than Safloks, which happens to be one of the most popular safes in hotels, it still presents a big problem for the hotel industry and its guests.

A woman so iconic, she doesn’t even need a last name.
She escaped abject poverty and shocking sexual abuse to become one of the most successful and powerful women in the world by using her remarkable gifts of communication and empathy to connect with people and help them tell their stories.
This is herstory.
Oprah Winfrey was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi in 1954.
She was in fact named Orpah, after a figure in The Bible, but due to mispronunciations she eventually became Oprah.
She was born to a single teenage mom and grew up between her mother, father and grandmother.
Her childhood was marred by poverty and sexual abuse by family members, a horror that she would later speak about on her show.
At age 14, she got pregnant. He was born prematurely and died soon after.
But while her childhood was marked by brutal hardship, it was also marked by the seeds of her greatness.
Oprah excelled in high school and became a spectacular public speaker. She would later attribute this budding confidence in part to her grandmother, but also to her intrinsic willpower.
“I don’t think of myself as a poor deprived ghetto girl who made good. I think of myself as somebody who from an early age knew I was responsible for myself, and I had to make good,” she later said.
She secured a scholarship to attend Tennessee State University and went on to a career in broadcast journalism.
Winfrey worked as a news anchor in Nashville and Baltimore, where she met her best friend, Gayle King.
When she was 29, she moved to Chicago to take over A.M. Chicago, an ABC talk show that was doing poorly in the ratings.
Over the next few months, Winfrey brought the show to the top of the charts.
On the advice of film critic and former boyfriend Roger Ebert, she inked a syndication deal for her show. It formally became The Oprah Winfrey Show in 1986.
She became the most widely watched daytime talk show host in the United States.
Analysts were puzzled. Here was a black woman with a curvy frame in a profession dominated by white men.
But her warmth and energy, confessionalism, enthusiasm for life and ability get her subjects to reveal their most private thoughts drew people in.
“The struggle of my life created empathy,” she later said. “I could relate to pain, being abandoned, having people not love me.”
A slightly more cynical view at the time came from Time Magazine, which noted that the format was a talk show as group-therapy session.
Winfrey also proved to be a keen businessperson. She gained ownership of her show from ABC, which allowed her to reap significantly more profit.
And she proved more than adept as an actress and was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in The Color Purple.
Later, she added to her brand with a magazine and her own television network.
No wonder that she’s the most successful self-made woman in America, with an estimated net worth of about $3 billion.
But Winfrey has never lost her generosity of spirit. She gives lavish gifts to her talk show guests and friends.
She’s raised tens of millions of dollars for causes from girls’ education in Africa to gun control to Hurricane Katrina relief.
In 1994, she successfully lobbied then-President Bill Clinton to create a national database of child abusers.
Her endorsement of 2008 presidential candidate Barack Obama was thought to have inspired hundreds of thousands of voters to head to the polls.
She ended her talk show in 2011, but has hardly put her career on pause. In 2013, she received the Presidential Medal of Freedom. In 2018, she won the Golden Globes lifetime achievement award.
Her speech led some observers to encourage her to run for president.
As she once said: “The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.”
Oprah – proof that with belief, all goals are achievable.
Is a food additive and flavor enhancer typically added to canned vegetables, processed meats, and is widely associated with Asian cuisine.
It’s also naturally occuring and you’d be surprised at how many foods contain it innately.
And it’s garnered a pretty bad reputation in the West. In fact, it’s kind of the bogeyman of the food world. But is MSG really that bad for you, or is it a myth like the bogeyman?
MSG is a flavor enhancer that turns up the savory and meaty taste known as “umami”, which is the fifth basic taste alongside sweet, sour, bitter, and salty, and can be found in foods like mushrooms, anchovies, and aged cheeses.
This flavor enhancement comes from the glutamate in MSG—more specifically known as the common amino acid glutamic acid, which is naturally present in our bodies and plays a key role in the metabolism of major nutrients and aids in the reconstruction of body proteins.
It’s also in a ton of food items like meat, dairy products like cheese, seaweed, and certain produce items like tomatoes and mushrooms.
But MSG is the sodium salt form of glutamic acid, which is basically what allows you to sprinkle it on your food.
The use of MSG as a flavor enhancer was discovered in 1908 by a Japanese professor named Kikunae Ikeda, who was able to extract glutamate from the popular Asian dish seaweed broth and realized that glutamate was responsible for its savory flavor.
Professor Ikeda then filed a patent to commercially produce MSG, and the rest is history.
Though today, MSG isn’t exclusively extracted from seaweed broth. Instead, it’s produced in a specialized fermentation process.
And it bears noting that the glutamate in MSG is chemically the same as the glutamate in food proteins, so our bodies process both the same way.
So if MSG is so widespread and already in our bodies naturally, why do so many people avoid it?
Well, in 1968, in a letter to the Editor in the New England Journal of Medicine, a man named Dr. Kwok described symptoms that he experienced after eating food from Chinese restaurants in the United States.
About 20 minutes after starting the meal, Kwok described a numbness or burning sensation at the back of his neck, a radiating in both arms, a general overall feeling of weakness, and palpitations. He referred to this as “Chinese restaurant syndrome”.
The journal suggested that MSG was the culprit, and many other people confirmed that they too felt similar symptoms upon eating Chinese food.
But is this syndrome for real?
In text in bg
Well, a few studies have reported that MSG consumption does trigger symptoms like headache, burning sensation, and headache in some individuals.
Checklist
Meanwhile, other studies report that these symptoms are typically triggered by the consumption of 3 or more grams of MSG. But, when MSG is added to an average serving of food, it’s typically less than 0.5 grams. And some believe that these sensitivities actually have more to do with glutamate than MSG.
However, the FDA themselves have never been able to confirm the reported effects of MSG. In fact, the FDA considers MSG as an additive to be “generally recognized as safe.”
However, it does require that foods containing it as an additive have to list it in their ingredients.
But some have criticized that the “No added MSG” label only adds to the stigma of something that is generally considered to be safe. So what do you think?
Sometimes you just have to pay attention to the details. Moms are the best when it comes to this and sometimes dads just don’t see the whole picture. That’s what happened in this story when Rebecca Tafaro Boyer saw that there was something off about her child’s car seat. Her husband had sent a text of their baby all strapped in and she noticed something about the straps.
Image Via Facebook
Many people would think she was “nagging” but this detail saved her child’s life. She posted on Facebook later that day with the story.
She said:
“Friends, let’s have a quick chat about something that some of my family members think makes me a super annoying overprotective mom – car seat safety.
So today, my first day back from maternity leave, I demanded that my husband send me hourly updates and recaps on how baby William was handling his first day away from mommy. This afternoon around 2:15, I got a text from my hubby during their trip to Walgreens.
My nagging wife reply was to correct William’s position in the car seat – the straps were too loose and the chest clip was way too low. And because I know my husband, I’m sure that he laughed at me and rolled his eyes before tightening the car seat and fixing the chest clip.”
Then the unthinkable happened and her husband and child were in an accident. Her post continued:
“At 2:30 my phone rang, my husband’s panicked voice came through the line, “Honey, we had a car wreck. We are fine, but the car is going to be totaled.”
The boys were less than three miles from our house when a woman pulled into oncoming traffic to try and make a quick left turn. David just didn’t have enough time to stop – it could have happened to anyone.
He slammed on the brakes at nearly 50 miles an hour before colliding with the front passenger side door of her SUV. My precious little bundle of joy was so well restrained in his car seat, THAT HE DIDN’T EVEN WAKE UP”
Image Via Facebook
Her husband didn’t have the same luck as their baby and had a broken foot and dislocated a few toes. But the real win was their baby didn’t suffer anything and it was all for Rebecca’s quick thinking.
Her post went justifiably viral and was shared over 40k times. She concluded her post with:
“Thank you all for reading and for being so vigilant about the safety of your children! I love all of the women who are tagging their husbands. Feel free to share if you think that this post will help educate someone you love in protecting their little miracles!”
We are just happy everyone is safe and sound and there was no tragedies at the end of this story. So if you have kids in car seats, make sure they are strapped in properly so you never have the opposite of this story.
NOW WATCH: What Cause Brain Freezes And How To Get Rid Of Them | Everything Explained
It’s a sudden and intense headache that’s usually the result of eating ice cream too fast.
But what exactly is brain freeze and how does it work?
Brain freeze is also known as an ice cream headache, a cold stimulus headache, or sphenopalatine ganglioneuralgia, which means pain in the nerves around your face, your sinuses, and the roof of your mouth.
And even though it may not be as intense as a migraine, it is categorized as a true headache in the International Classifications of Headache Disorders.
As we all know, brain freeze is triggered by the consumption of something cold.
But how does it all work?
The brain freeze sensation happens when a cold substance gets behind the nose and palate, which is the roof of your mouth.
This lowers the temperature around the blood vessels close to the back of the throat, which includes the internal carotid artery and the anterior cerebral artery.
Both of which supply much of the brain with blood.
Now, your body isn’t the biggest fan of rapid temperature changes, and has come up with some coping mechanisms for when this occurs.
One of these tactics is the constriction, or tightening, of blood vessels to conserve heat.
So, when you eat a popsicle for example, the blood vessels near the back of your throat constrict because of the coldness.
Then they dilate, or expand, once they warm up.
But if this is all happening in your mouth, why do we feel it in our brains?
Well, it’s the result of a phenomenon called referred pain, which is when pain is felt in an area other than the actual source of the pain itself.
And it’s just the result of crossed signals in the process of pain transmission.
For example, this is why people feel pain in their left arms during a heart attack.
But in the case of brain freeze, the pain gets referred from the roof of your mouth to your forehead and scalp.
The good news is the pain is pretty short-lived, lasting from a few seconds to maybe a minute.
And brain freeze is generally harmless and isn’t linked to any neurological disorders, but it is linked to migraines since people who suffer from them are more prone to brain freeze.
This is because the same nerves in the palate trigger both types of headaches.
But science hasn’t been able to answer why some people don’t get brain freeze, as it’s a little-studied subject.
So if you don’t want to eliminate ice cream, popsicles, or Slurpees from your diet, how do you deal with or prevent brain freeze?
One solution is to eat cold things slowly and keep them in the front of your mouth for a while so they warm up before hitting the back of your throat.
Another trick is to chase a cold substance with something warm.
Pressing your tongue or thumb against the roof of your mouth can also help warm you up and potentially eliminate brain freeze.
Or breathing through your mouth and out your nose to pass warm air over the palate.
In any case, it’s not really that bad and totally worth it for two scoops of Rocky Road.
Whenever someone turns 100 people usually ask them what the keys to a long life are. The answers are varied but for Brenda Osborne, she is candid as Beyonce at the age of 105.
Image Via SWNS
Brenda was born in 1913, and is a retired nurse. During her time as a nurse, she only took ONE sick day in her 33 year career. So I guess she has always been pretty healthy. So what’s her trick?
Image Via SWNS
She told friends and staff at her nursing home:
“I would put my good health down to hard work and avoiding men. I loved celebrating my birthday although I was disappointed the Queen didn’t come.
I received my letter from her but I thought an appearance was the least she could do.”
Others have given advice, such as 100 Eileen Maher who didn’t avoid men but did something a little different.
Eileen is from England and she celebrated in her senior living facility with friends and staff members. Her husband Frank passed away three years ago and that’s the reason she moved to the care home. They didn’t have any children. She did speak about how she met Frank almost 70 years ago, saying:
“My friend told me to go to a local hotel as there was a man who was a fantastic pianist.
It turned out to be Frank and I went and fell in love with him – he was a great jazz pianist.”
Image Via SWNS
She went onto say:
“We married in 1951 when I was 33.
We came to Blackpool for our honeymoon and never left.
We used to love to play tennis too but now I just enjoy listening to it as my eyes aren’t as good as they used to be.”
It may have taken a few more years than it should of, but she even celebrated with her first ever selfie!
Image Via SWNS
Since Eileen didn’t have any family members, her friend Pauline Green came to pay her a visit. She trekked 250 miles to celebrate this joyous occasion. Pauline said this of Eileen:
“Eileen was my mother’s best friend.
They went on holidays, even the Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2), together.
I see her as my auntie, she’s a wonderful woman.”
Image Via SWNS
Eileen was so surprised about her party, she said:
“It’s all been wonderful.
I didn’t expect a party but it’s lovely they have done something so special for me. Being content has helped me reach my 100th birthday.”
Image Via SWNS
So how did she get to 100? Elaine Wright who is the care services manager said that:
“Eileen’s not big on bubbly so her favourite tipple was on tap – Stella Artois!
With a packet of custard creams, it’s her not-so-secret self-indulgence.”
Image Via SWNS
So if you are looking to live a tad longer, maybe past 100 go grab a pint of Stella! You can tell the bartender that it’s for your health.
NOW WATCH: What Is Sunburn And Why Do I Get It?
NOW WATCH: What Do Cockroaches Do And How To Get Rid Of Them | Everything Explained
Cockroaches. You’ve likely crossed paths with one, or perhaps you were unlucky enough to deal with an infestation.
They’re filthy and notoriously hard to get rid of insects that some say will even survive the Apocalypse to outlive us all.
And oh yeah, that “myth” about them being able to live for weeks without their head… Turns out that’s true. So what’s the deal with roaches? And why are they so resilient and, well, horrifying?
There are about 3,500 species of cockroach, but the one you’re probably most familiar with is the American cockroach or, Periplaneta americana. It’s the largest species of common cockroach with an average length of 4 centimeters, and—despite its name—isn’t actually originally from America.
It hails from Africa and is thought to have come here by infesting ships in the 16th century. But cockroaches in general have existed for millions of years.
In fact, fossil evidence shows that they’ve been around for 300 million years. Which is to say these guys are a highly successful group of animals. But why exactly have cockroaches been able to stick around for so long?
Well, they kinda won the genetic lottery. In fact, they have a massive genome—that is, all the material that comprises their DNA.
American cockroaches actually have the second largest genome, after the locust, of all insects yet studied in that regard. So what does that mean exactly?
Well, it just means that they have a lot more genes than other insects, which can come with certain advantages. For starters, it’s got 154 olfactory receptors, which allow it to smell and find the crumbs of your late night pizza order. It’s also got over 500 gustatory receptors for taste, so they’ll eat just about anything.
And I mean anything.
Cheese, meat, sweets, cardboard, glue, hair, flakes of dried skin, excrement, and…. Even other cockroaches. That’s quite the menu. And for all that it can eat, it can also eat nothing for 2 – 3 months
It also has genes that code for detoxification enzymes to help it withstand toxic chemicals, like pesticides.
The American cockroach can also grow back some of its body parts in a process called regeneration.
During its nymph phase—which is between 160 to 971 days in length—the American cockroach undergoes a series of regenerative molts in which it can grow back previously lost limbs, antennae, and even eyes. But, it can’t regenerate a new head if that gets lost.
But it can survive for quite some time without one. This is because they have an open circulatory system with way less pressure than the one humans have.
Instead, when decapitated, a cockroach’s neck seals off by clotting so it doesn’t bleed out.
And no, cockroaches don’t carry human diseases like lice, ticks, or mosquitoes, but they do spread filth which can cause contamination.
You see, these guys live and eat in damp, unsanitary areas like sewers, bathrooms, kitchens, basements, and dumpsters, and they transfer filth from these areas to countertops, dishes, or food that you eventually go on to eat.
Which can cause different forms of gastroenteritis—or the stomach flu—resulting in diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or cramps.
So, if cockroaches are nearly indestructible, how do you get rid of them if you have them? Your best means of cockroach control is prevention and sanitation.
Cockroach feces actually contains a chemical that attracts other cockroaches to a given area, so making sure cockroach-prone areas like your kitchen and bathroom are clean can help prevent an infestation.
Removal of food and water sources is another way to prevent infestations.
Things like making sure you repair leaking pipes, keeping your kitchen free of food debris, and storing your food and garbage properly can go a long way.
Now if you already have a roach infestation, you’ll likely have to turn to chemical control in conjunction with the preventative measures I just outlined. Calling a professional pest control company is your best bet, and they will most likely use baits, sprays, and dusts to get rid of an infestation.
And if you choose a do-it-yourself route with chemical control, bear in mind that most insecticides are poisons!
Read the warning labels before use and make sure you store them out of reach of children and pets. Believe me, no one wants to be the landlord of a roach motel.
For the past few years, Laleh has been coming up with beautiful food creations that make her son Jacob want to actually eat vegetables! It was just for him at first but then she went viral with it all and created the Instagram account, Jacob’s Food Diaries.
Fast forward to now and she has over 100k followers and many, many amazing pieces of food art.
Pop Sugar asked her if Jacob enjoys helping, she said:
“He definitely has to get involved — and by involved I mean sit on the kitchen bench and ask me what I am doing about 100 times! He sits there with his chopping board and plastic knife cutting — or trying to — pieces of fruit and vegetables.”
Take a look for yourself and let us know which one is your fave!
Acupuncture, the classic Chinese medicine practice, is now being used on pets.
While it may sound far-fetched, the treatment has yielded some great results on everything from arthritis and limb paralysis to easing symptoms of depression and cancer treatment side effects.
“We’ve had four months of treatment. Before acupuncture, we had no hope. We even considered euthanasia. Four months later, he began to walk again and then slowly he began to recover. He’s been pretty healthy ever since.”
While acupuncture is now wildly popular among humans as a way to combat pain and stress and to increase circulation, the idea that it could be used on animals still sees its share of detractors.
Yet some claim that acupuncture on animals isn’t a new development at all; and that horses and other livestock have been receiving acupuncture for thousands of years
Some of this criticism might stem from the fact that acupuncture is still considered a pseudoscience, whose effects are not based on the scientific method.
Still, many pet owners have seen tangible results where Western medicine has failed.
“The treatment is pretty good. It’s very fast. I also went to see Western doctors, but this is faster.”
Acupuncture therapy works by sticking a body with a series of short, sterile needles along 14 major channels. The needles provoke a physiological response by stimulating nerves in these points, which can increase circulation and decrease inflammation.
You might be thinking one single needle would be enough to set a dog running for the door. However, many therapists claim that it’s in fact a relaxing experience for many pets, who often fall asleep during the treatment.
If it gets tails wagging again, I’m all for it.
Would you try acupuncture as a treatment for your pet?
In a Thursday morning tweet-storm, the President of The United States didn’t tweet out support those in the path of Hurricane Florence. Honestly a tweet rant about what he ate for breakfast would have been better than what his tiny hands typed out.
A recent report came out last month that claimed the number of deaths due to the back-to-back hurricanes in Puerto Rico was near 3,000. This was conducted by researchers at George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health, you know a very real resource that has no reason to be bias.
This didn’t matter though because POTUS thinks that these numbers were made up by the fake news and Democrats. This morning at 8:37 and 8:49 AM EST he lashed out with these tweets:
3000 people did not die in the two hurricanes that hit Puerto Rico. When I left the Island, AFTER the storm had hit, they had anywhere from 6 to 18 deaths. As time went by it did not go up by much. Then, a long time later, they started to report really large numbers, like 3000…
…..This was done by the Democrats in order to make me look as bad as possible when I was successfully raising Billions of Dollars to help rebuild Puerto Rico. If a person died for any reason, like old age, just add them onto the list. Bad politics. I love Puerto Rico!
I’m guessing the 12 minute delay was because he had to finish the egg McMuffin and diet coke in bed first.
If you remember correctly, Trump wasn’t even aware that Puerto Rico belonged to the United States last year during relief efforts. He even was so brass to say that Puerto Rico threw the United State’s budget “out of whack.”
The Mayor of Puerto Rico responded quickly to his morning tweets saying:
“This is what denial following neglect looks like: Mr Pres in the real world people died on your watch. YOUR LACK OF RESPECT IS APPALLING!”
This is what denial following neglect looks like: Mr Pres in the real world people died on your watch. YOUR LACK OF RESPECT IS APPALLING! pic.twitter.com/OJEDqT74Sr
According to the New York Times, Trump’s former homeland security adviser Thomas Bossert, said that the President lacked humility, saying:
“The missing part was empathy. I wish he’d paused and expressed that, instead of just focusing on the response success. The people that died — thousands of people — it’s terrible, but it’s always difficult to talk about the causality of that death.”
The fact that people died to inadequate health care in the wake of the hurricanes is very real. This revised number of deaths was 2,975 which is opposed to just 64 which was what originally stated. This has been accepted by the Puerto Rican Government but not by the federal government at this time.
Many people see this as a “new low” for the President as you can see from some of these responses:
Denying 3000 people died in Puerto Rico and that it is made up is exactly the same as every crazy, nut job, conspiracy theorist who denies the many tragic events that didn’t actually happen. #POTUS@realDonaldTrump has shown himself to be just another conspiracy theorist.
— Michael Brandvold Music Marketing Digital Strategy (@michaelsb) September 13, 2018
Of course @realDonaldTrump is denying the undisputed death toll in Puerto Rico. He also denies colluding with Russia and cheating on his wife. #ThursdayThoughts
Rest easy knowing that if you die in a natural disaster, you will live on in the syphilitic mind of Donald Trump as he denies your death ever happened.
This isn’t the first time Trump has shown that he doesn’t know what’s going on in the real world. Take a look at Omarosa’s count of what happened when she was let go…
Omarosa has now released a recording of a conversation that the President and her had over the phone in 2017. Trump learns of her being fired from Omarosa and not even from his own staff.
#Breaking: @OMAROSA provides @NBCNews with this exclusive excerpt of a recording of a phone call that she says she received from President Trump the day after White House Chief of Staff John Kelly fired her. pic.twitter.com/OJe47RdcDC
In the video you can hear Trump and Omarosa saying:
Trump: “Omarosa? Omarosa what’s going on? I just saw on the news that you’re thinking about leaving? What happened?”
Omarosa: “General Kelly came to me and said that you guys wanted me to leave.”
Trump: “Nobody even told me about it.”
Omarosa: “Wow.”
Trump: “You know they run a big operation, but I didn’t know it. I didn’t know that. Goddamn it. I don’t love you leaving at all.”
On TV Trump: "You're fired!"
Away from TV Trump: "Who's fired? You're fired? Who fired you? I didn't fire you, did I? Why were you fired? Who started the fire? Did they light it and then try to fight it?"#Snark#OmarosaTapes
This all came out this morning and since then, Donald Trump has been on a predictable Tweet storm. He is known for giving his enemies catchphrase nicknames and this time is no different.
Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time. She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said Ok. People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart. I would rarely see her but heard….
…really bad things. Nasty to people & would constantly miss meetings & work. When Gen. Kelly came on board he told me she was a loser & nothing but problems. I told him to try working it out, if possible, because she only said GREAT things about me – until she got fired!
Just to make it clear, he had to take 23 minutes in-between Tweets to think of what to say next. 30 minutes later he was at it again.
While I know it’s “not presidential” to take on a lowlife like Omarosa, and while I would rather not be doing so, this is a modern day form of communication and I know the Fake News Media will be working overtime to make even Wacky Omarosa look legitimate as possible. Sorry!
After these angry Tweets, Omarosa was seen on MSNBC saying:
“This is his pattern with African-Americans. He doesn’t know how to control himself.”
Omarosa discussed the Lester Holt interview on MSNBC's @VelshiRuhle. She claims Hope Hicks and others prepped Trump to lie about Comey, but he was too "mentally challenged" to stick to the script. Forget the drama; Trump's mental fitness is the most critical part of this saga. pic.twitter.com/9DqRsHTfik
In Omarosa’s book, “Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House,” she mentions never signing a non-disclosure agreement. Even after her firing, she was sent a contract by Lara Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law, that asked her to work on Trump’s re-election campaign for $15,000 a month. This had a NDA attached to it that was, “as harsh and restrictive as any I’d seen in all my years of television.”
She promptly turned down the offer, but I don’t think Donald Trump got the memo on that either. She gave copies of those documents to “Meet The Press” and Trump must have been watching. He Tweeted after two hours of the last Omarosa Tweet:
Wacky Omarosa already has a fully signed Non-Disclosure Agreement!
Even if Trump did fire her three times…why did he hire her back. No matter what side of the political spectrum you are on, you have to think that that’s not good business.
John Kelly might have taken Trump’s catchphrase of “You’re Fired” because he’s done it to so many people in the Trump cabinet such as Rex Tillerson, Steve Bannon and even Anthony “Mooch” Saramucci.
Since Trump loves watching TV so much, it might be in his best interest to watch some re-runs of The Apprentice to remember how it’s done.
I’m pretty sure if the world had more pets we would have less problems overall. Just think if Donald Trump would have grown up with a cute little pig, maybe he wouldn’t have become the man he is today. I really don’t see a bad reason to not adopt a pig, and if you’re into that sort of thing take a look here.
Anyways, these are just some good wholesome Tweets to look and smile at because we all could use that right?
I met this dog and asked it’s owner for a photo. Baxter (the dog) saw my phone, sat down and smiled. Again, we do not deserve dogs. pic.twitter.com/rBybyZ7XjQ
It can be really tough to have a conversation with anyone about your favorite show, and in the golden age of television we have a lot to choose from. Luckily, Hollywood Reporter polled over 2,800 people from the tv industry. They ranged from producers to directors to even the actors themselves, and they came up with the 50 best shows ever.
They all range from different time periods and chances are you will want to argue things. My biggest beef? How can The Office and Parks and Recreation be only at 31 and 32 respectively?!
Sound off at the end to say if you agree with all of this!
It’s back to school season and that means two things. For one, this means we will be seeing parents rejoice with their new found freedom. But also it means we will begin seeing school uniforms get questioned.
That’s what happened to Scarlett O’Donoghue who is only 14 when she was pulled aside by school staff to tell her that her pants were too tight. She was told to go home and the problem is, these shorts were bought from the school’s uniform site!
Her mom, Claire, was contacted and told that her daughter wasn’t allowed to be in class.
Claire recalled that:
“Scarlett was so excited about starting her GCSEs – I was livid. What I cannot get over is what right does one teacher have to say my child’s trousers are too tight?
Scarlett thinks she’s too fat, like a lot of teenage girls – for someone in authority to ‘say your clothes are too tight’ is disgusting.
A lot of girls also have issues about their weight and their body image.”

She continued onto say:
“So if you have an adult telling you the skirt is too tight, it’s going to hugely harm your self-esteem.
What is that saying to teenage girls about their self-confidence when they are already worried about their weight?”
The family had spent over $65 on new school clothes that were deemed wearable by the school but now Scarlett couldn’t even wear those. Claire also wasn’t happy with the school essentially sexualizing her 14-year-old girl.
Claire posted about it on social media and began a petition to get the school to chill out on the uniform policy. It’s gotten over 500 signatures, but that might not matter. The school’s principal, Dale Barrowclough, doesn’t seem to be budging an inch on the policy.
Image Via SWNS
He said in a statement:
“We have the uniform policy because it promotes a professional ethos in the school and it allows pupils who can’t afford branded clothes to avoid bullying.
This is something that was raised by parents and which is why they wanted the uniform policy and it would be unfair to change it now.
I’m not prepared to relax our high standards. It’s why Forge Valley is oversubscribed and we could not say that when the school opened.”
Don’t tell anyone but I think I have an exclusive picture of Mr. Barrowclough:
“Parents are always given adequate warning about next year’s uniform in my end-of-summer-term letter which says that full uniform must be worn for the start of September.”
He also said that a few other students were sent home due to how they were dressed, but have since corrected themselves.
He concluded:
“I believe we are consistent but with any policy, some sense of judgement needs to be made. But tight trousers verging on leggings is not school uniform.”
Everyone these days are so attached to their phones, and they forget to take in life for what it is. This is exactly what happened when tourists spotted a moose swimming to shore in Vermont recently.
The moose was crossing Lake Champlain but once the people started approaching the moose, he retreated back into the water. He was struggling to find another way out of the water but they had surrounded him. Nobody understood what was happening as he was drowning due to being exhausted.
Robert Currier is a warden for the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department, told The Associated Press that they arrived too late to help. He began to go underwater just as they got there. He said:
“It was struggling pretty good at that point. We were waiting for a boat to respond to try to assist it, but before the boat arrived, it had drowned. It was really rough out there, probably 4- to 5-foot swells and high wind.”
It just goes to show you people are obsessed with their online life more than the real life that is right in front of them.
A similar story happened St. Mary’s Island Nature Reserve as tourists threw rocks at seals. Take a look at what happened next….
St Mary’s Seal Watch posted a video on their Facebook of the most horrid situation. Basically three people were videoed reading and then disobeying a sign to stay away from the seals. Then they begin scavenging for rocks to throw at the seals on the cliff. St Mary’s Seal Watch posted the video in hopes to raise awareness against this kind of harassment.
Image Via Facebook
They posted the video along with the caption:
“This malicious act was carried out on St. Mary’s Island Nature Reserve and seen from the mainland on Saturday 9th June at around 9.00pm. We have had other visitors saying they have witnessed the same thing over this season.”
They went onto say:
“This footage is not to name and shame the individuals but to highlight some of the problems the wildlife faces on the reserve and the stark contrast between the recent Springwatch clip of the island in all its majestic glory and the reality for most of the wildlife here which is subjected to repeated disturbance rarely finding the tranquillity shown in the beautiful Springwatch footage.”

The Seal Watch just wanted to cause awareness for this careless display of inhumanity though, and I think they achieved that.
“The behaviour in this clip is abhorrent, however the most prolific disturbance source to all the wildlife is those carrying out recreational activities on the wildlife sensitive areas of the island.
Without protection St. Mary’s Island Nature Reserve is no haven for the wildlife but a place where visitor pressure prevents any chance of the wildlife thriving.
We know that many visitors show respect and consideration when visiting this wildlife sensitive site and will themselves have seen too often the acts of a few spoil it not just for the animals but for all those responsible visitors as well.”

They concluded:
“If you see people ignoring Council signs requesting visitors avoid the wildlife sensitive areas report it to staff in the Lighthouse.
If the Lighthouse is not open email stmaryslighthouse@northtyneside.gov.uk
If you see any activity of intentional harassment call 101 and report it.
If in doubt as to what you should do please contact St. Mary’s Seal Watch for advice.
If you believe more should be done to preserve the Nature Reserve and protect our local wildlife by those in authority, please write to a North Tyneside Councillor or local MP.”
If you would like to learn more about this beautiful cause, take a look at their website here and save the seals!
NOW WATCH: This 90-Year-Old Grandma Is A Selfie Master
We all remember being in grade school and having to raise our hand to go to the bathroom. I also remember having various teachers that would have certain rules about being able to leave their classroom. Some made you sign a sheet or have a “bathroom pass.” I remember that whole experience being awful especially classes after lunch when I would go at the same time everyday.
Sorry Mrs. MacDonald, but I’m not trying to “disrespect” your class, I just kinda have to go after drinking three Capri Suns, cool? That was my conversation that got me sent to a principal once.
Thank goodness that it’s 2018 and people are becoming more woke about these issues though. I can’t even imagine how it was for girls that were experiencing a period for the first time. Anyways, a teacher at a charter school in Memphis, Tennessee is under fire for only letting her students go to the restroom, see the nurse or even see a school admin.
The image was originally put on Facebook by a parent but was eventually taken down. A friend of that person saw it though, and posted it to Twitter and it went viral.
Your child comes home and shows you this note her teacher had her sign at school.
Jaadee Sykes says she shared the “abhorrent” rules because:
“This shows someone with control issues who has no power or authority at home, so they bring what little power they have to the one place where they will have no resistance: the classroom.”
Many people related to this behavior, having experienced it themselves.
I thought this kind of torment had gone away decades ago. When I taught 8th grade, the kids could go as often as they needed. Nobody abused it. (Maybe her students hate her class?)
I still remember projectile vomiting in 9th grade after being told I couldn't go to the nurse.
Yes, lets all make poor children hold their bladders bc them going to the restroom is a nuisance for you. My child has my permission to walk out of whoever’s class if they tell him he cant go. Get the fuck out of here. https://t.co/BjHyXjQj1T
OMG-at first I thought/hoped it was a joke! I’d move my child out of this woman’s class not only for her being petty but because she slays the English language —>’it indicates how many times I have WENT…’ (emphasis mine) WTF? Went? How about trying ‘gone’. 😳🙄🙄
I think the most interesting part of this disgusting note is that Ms. White acknowledges she’s being “petty.” It’s almost as if she’s taking pride in being petty towards 13 year olds.
The superintendent for the school, Dr. Nickalous Manning sent Local Memphis this statement:
“Today we were notified that one of our teachers at Aspire Hanley Middle School allegedly issued an agreement between students and the teacher around permission for restricted bathroom, water and nurse visit privileges. Our staff is currently investigating the claim at this time. We want our scholars and parents to know that our focus will always be on the wellbeing of our scholars and we take every allegation seriously.”
Honestly though what’s to investigate? That your teacher you hired isn’t being humane towards her students? My investigation would be about two words, you’re fired.
Another teacher understood the frustration of Ms. White but agreed that this wasn’t the right way to handle things.
It can be a disruption that makes it harder to teach and a distraction for other students. However, many times, students simply don’t have time to go between classes. Also, this is unprofessional and petty, and I would bet it’s not very effective, either. (2/2)
The middle school also posted updates to their investigation but have since deleted them from their Facebook. Good thing the internet screenshots everything.

We will update if the school finds that Ms. White should be let go, but everything on social media currently says that she seems to still have her job.
Now let’s not end with such a downer! Take a look here to see how a teacher did the opposite and changed this foreign student’s life.

This viral footage may prove ghost skeptics wrong.
One local spot in California is making headlines for some spooky incidents — and it was all caught on camera.
Cronies Bar and Restaurant uploaded two separate videos to Facebook to verify the creepy encounters. One shows the rocking of a chair during business hours, which had some of its customers spooked. The other video shows the toppling of a barstool after the business had closed its doors for the night.
“For this to happen it’s pretty creepy,” said Dave Foldes, one of the bar’s co-owners, to a local news station. He continued, “It’s just really weird. We’ve been here 27 years, nothing weird like this has ever happened.”
Though they don’t know what caused the movements, they’re quick to blame it on the spot’s two originals, both of whom passed a number of years ago.
Foldes said, “Ralph and Don. They were our first originals. They actually introduced me to my wife. And they died 25 years ago.Whenever something funny happens, we blame it on them.
Ever since Colin Kaepernick has protested police brutality back in 2016, people have been jumping to conclusions and going a bit crazy. That all began once again when Kaepernick became the face of Nike’s latest campaign. If anything, at least it’s kickstarted a discussion overall about the protests. Next steps of course would be to realize that everyone’s favorite flag isn’t being disrespected, but the people that are protesting are.
We are also able to tell a lot about people that really have hated this Nike Campaign. Whether you are burning your shoes or banning the product in your town, you must realize that neither really help you at all. The latter is what a Louisiana Mayor has done and not all agree with him.
Kenner Mayor E. Ben Zahn III’s statement reads:
“Under no circumstances will any Nike product or any product with the Nike logo be purchased for use or delivery at any City of Kenner Recreation facility.”
You can read the whole absurd thing below:
It disappoints me that this is happening in my state. The Mayor of Kenner is trying to ban all Nike apparel and equipment from children’s sports and playgrounds. I would like to have a conversation with him when i return from this European Tour. Not to fuss, just to build. pic.twitter.com/gRCoCN3nQP
This of course comes in the wake of the first week of the NFL season where two players knelt. The NFL couldn’t do anything because their rules are currently at a stand still.
Zahn perhaps felt he needed to give a longer response and defended his statement going onto say:
“I applaud Nike’s message of inclusion and encouragement for everyone to be their best and dream big. But I also recognize that Nike, in its zeal to sell shoes, chose to promote and sell a political message.
In Kenner, like every city, our citizens and our taxpayers cover a wide spectrum of political philosophies and agendas. We must respect all of those agendas and philosophies. So, when a company uses its advertising as its own political megaphone, government should be fair to all of its people and not allow taxpayer dollars to be used to help that company push its own political agenda.”
Other people from Louisiana were a bit outraged by the decision of the Kenner Mayor. New Orleans Mayor, LaToya Cantrell, put out a statement Monday saying:
“As I have emphasized repeatedly since taking office: I believe in the values the people of New Orleans stand for — being inclusive, being accepting and supportive of all our people, committing to social justice, and being intentional about how we make decisions.”
The mandate handed down by Kenner’s mayor is out of step with those values & not reflective of the way we do business. Although @NO_Airport is located in Kenner, it is owned and governed by @CityOfNOLA. Let me assure you that our airport will continue to uphold our City's values. pic.twitter.com/z6tU99ihV7
The New Orleans International Airport is located in Kenner but she shut down any notion that the airport would abide by these absurd rules.
Another official, Kenner City Councilman Gregory Carroll, denounced Zahn’s decision with everything he had. He wrote:
This all sounds like easy ammunition to use against Zahn when reelections come around. Carroll also spoke to Buzzfeed News saying that the mayor, “just got caught up in all this stuff and made a move off the cuff.”
Jay Banks a city council member in New Orleans also posted this image on Facebook saying that he felt compelled to buy this shirt.
So overall this move is really backfiring on Zahn. Guess he didn’t know his audience.

At a White House press conference Thursday, President Trump made a rare mention of his late brother Fred while declaring that the opioid epidemic in the United States is a national emergency.
During the remarks, the president spoke at length about his late brother, who died in 1981 at the age of 43 after years of battling alcoholism.
During his remarks, the president — who does not drink — credited his older brother’s example as a key reason he avoids alcohol.
“I learned myself. I had a brother, Fred. Great guy. Best-looking guy. Best personality. Much better than mine,” Trump said. “But he had a problem. He had a problem with alcohol. And he would tell me, ‘Don’t drink. Don’t drink.'”
Trump said his brother, who was eight years his senior, helped “guide” him away, sparing him the pain he saw his friends go through as they struggled with alcohol over the years. He suggested that same advice could help stem the spread of opioid addiction in the United States too.
“The fact is, if we can teach young people and people generally not to start [taking drugs], it’s really, really easy not to take them,” Trump said.
“[Fred] had a very, very, very tough life because of alcohol, believe me,” Trump said. “Very, very tough, tough life. He was a strong guy. But it was a tough, tough thing that he was going through. But I learned because of Fred. I learned.”
Trump emphasized the importance of a “really tough, really big, really great advertising” campaign to help spread more awareness, adding: “There is nothing desirable about drugs. They’re bad.”
