Hugh Grant eats his words on the stance of marriage and children years later

Hugh Grant has recently admitted just how wrong he was about his views on marriage right up before he got married to Anna Eberstein, the television producer.

“Well, I was just plain wrong. I was wrong,” Grant shared on previously not accepting the idea of marriage.

“And children, you know. I used to roll my eyes. People would say, ‘Oh Hugh you don’t understand it’, but they were right.”

Image via Wikimedia Commons

Back in 2015, the 59-year-old revealed he was “not really a believer in marriage.”

“I’ve seen very few good examples, maybe five, in my life, but I think otherwise it’s a recipe for mutual misery,” he said then.

Cut to May of 2018: Grant and Eberstein get married at the Chelsea register office.

The couple shares three children together, the third which was born just before their wedding.

Kylie Jenner surprises 22-month-old daughter Stormi with massive and majestic Christmas tree

Kylie Jenner decided to reveal her home with some assistance from her young daughter, Stormi Webster.

In a YouTube vlog, the 22-year-old began her tour focusing in on her huge Christmas tree which was covered in white lights and accented with red and green ornaments.

“It’s crazy!” 22-month-old Stormi says in awe with a gasp.

Jenner admits that she went above and beyond when it came to decorating her home as she wants her daughter to experience the same Christmas magic she did growing up.

“I love this because I wanted Stormi to kind of experience what I used to experience growing up, and all the amazing memories I have,” Jenner shared.

She went on to reveal how even the Santa ornaments on the tree were the same exact ones her mother had when she was young.

Comedian Ali Wong admitted to using her toddler’s diaper in standstill traffic

“Touring is not glamorous,” Ali Wong recently shared in an appearance on The Late Late Show.

The comedian was driving to her next stand up show with her mother and her 4-year-old daughter when it hit her: she needed to relieve herself.

“It was one of those moments,” she said.

And as traffic was at a standstill, Ali requested her mom pass her a diaper (which was designed for a toddler) and things were smooth.

“I looked like a gangster,” Ali revealed, until she needed another diaper.

“I went through five diapers, and I was like, I did it. I hacked it. I am winning at life. I got three generations of women in here,” she exclaimed.

Homeless man forks over his anime collection worth $10,000 to help fund his anime tattoo business

On November 25, Twitter user @inkbypnut posted a tweet of him in an empty commercial space with the following caption:

“Hey twitter sold all my anime [stuff] to buy my first anime tattoo shop… I’m located in downtown Dallas Texas… opening day is Dec 7th, I hope this goes viral so I can start my anime collect over!”

The artist sold off his anime collection for $10,000 dollars which he then reinvested into his commercial space for his tattoo shop.

The post quickly went viral, garnering over 40,000 retweets and over 93,000 likes in just 3 days. And in addition — Twitter users reached out to help his business, including interior decoration to replenishing his anime collection to booking appointments prior to opening — the internet was in full support.

And the timing of it all could not have been more perfect as the artist had a quite the year. His house had burned down, he was forced to sleep in cars as well as worked constantly to make ends meet.

He is now very elastic to announce that he will be hiring 8 artists, a few piercers, as well as some shop hands. The store’s name will be 1UP Ink.

Michael Jordan donates $7 Million to hometown for underprivileged and uninsured persons

Michael Jordan, the NBA legend and Charlotte Hornets’ owner, recently opened the Michael Jordan Family Medical Clinic which provides care for underprivileged and uninsured patients.

The clinic which is settled in Charlotte, North Carolina, opened its doors two years after Jordan pledged to donate $7 million to open two medical facilities.

The location of the clinic was not set by chance as Jordan wanted to benefit the hometown he was born in and give back to the place that helped shaped him.

Image via YouTube

In his emotional opening speech, Jordan shared:

“This is a very emotional thing for me to be able to give back to a community that has supported me over the years.”

The new clinic, which is located in the lower-income part of the city, will benefit underprivileged and uninsured people who need help in the area.

According to a Harvard University/UC Berkeley assessment in 2014, Charlotte was ranked 50th out of 50 in economic mobility for children born into poverty.

“I believe that your ZIP code or neighborhood should not determine the quality of your health care – or whether or not you can even get care at all,” said Michael Jordan.

Image via YouTube

In total, the clinic has 12 patient exam rooms, an X-ray room, as well as a space for physical therapy. And apart from taking care of the patients’ health, the clinic will have a social worker and will be run by Novant Health.

Carl Armato, Novant Health’s CEO, said in a statement:

“At Novant Health, we are deeply committed to caring for patients beyond our walls. This clinic will not only provide access to medical care for those who need it most, but it will connect them to resources to ensure their health extends beyond the doctor’s office. We are so grateful for Michael Jordan’s continued partnership and generous gift, which will transform thousands of lives in the west Charlotte community.”

You can now cuddle your favorite candidate with these “Primary Pals”

In the past election cycle (and the many, many prior) politics were flooded with ripping each other apart bit by bit.

So one Kickstarter decided to brighten up the competition by building up the campaigners that we the people do connect with.

How you ask?

With “Primary Pals,” i.e. replica dolls of your favorite campaigners.

Image via Instagram

“Primary Pals is a fun, cuddly, and positive way to support your favorite Presidential candidate heading into the 2020 election. Hopefully, one (or all) of these candidates have stirred a passion in you and Primary Pals gives you a way to express the hope and inspiration they instill in you.”

Image via Instagram

“You can be proud of who you are supporting by having your Primary Pal on your desk, in your home, or anywhere else you may go,” the Kickstarter page reads.

Image via Instagram

As Kickstarter does not allow political donations — the former successful Kickstarter campaign will sell the dolls on a website where 5% of all proceeds will be donated to each candidate’s election funds.

Image via Instagram

“AND, because of the fierce competition among the democrats, the candidate that sells the most dolls during our Kickstarter campaign will win our “Primary Pals Election!” The winner’s donations will be doubled to 10% of their proceeds!” the page description continues.

Image via Instagram

The Kickstarter also states if your candidate was not included, you can request yours on Facebook.

Don’t look down in this new 1,000 foot-high glass slide overlooking LA

This article originally appeared and was published on AOL.com

Remember sliding down the slide at the playground when you were a child, and the exhilaration you’d feel with the odd sensation of letting gravity carry you?

Time for a major adult upgrade, where this time, the city of Los Angeles is your playground.

Image via AP

The West Coast’s tallest building, which scales a solid 72 stories overlooking Los Angeles, is about to get a major architectural upgrade—one that we sure hope doesn’t crack.

A 45-foot-long glass slide is being built on top of Los Angeles’ U.S. Bank Tower. The slide will go from the 70th to the 69th floors and is estimated to sit a mere 1,000 feet above ground.

Image via AP

The project, called Skyslide, is part of a $50M renovation to the building that’s set to also include a bar and observation deck located on the top stories of the building.

Visitors will be able to ride the slide for $8.

Dwayne Johnson Hosts Touching Make-A-Wish Day For Critically-Ill Children

This past weekend, fan-favorite Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson shared quite a few videos via Instagram that had many tearing up over their screens.

The series of Instagram posts shows ‘The Rock’ Johnson partnering with the Make a Wish Foundation.

Each year, he organizes an event in conjunction with the foundation, granting children the chance to get their one wish: to meet Dwayne in person.

Johnson took time to meet and chat with children who were battling critical illnesses, starting with a handshake.

In his posting, Johnson writes how much the meetup meant to him, calling events like the Make A Wish Foundation event the ‘best part’ of fame.

“Even though I was obviously there with the kids and parents, it’s hard for me to watch these without shedding a happy tear or two. As a man, father and luckiest SOB on this planet, I can honestly say without no uncertain terms — to me, this will always be the best part of my job. The best part of fame.”

Cue the tears…

In the video, the children can be seen adventuring on the set of Johnson’s latest movie, Jungle Cruise – with the set being decked out with tons of delicious looking treats and plenty of fun games for the kids.

Image via Instagram

Johnson sported his Jungle Cruise costume throughout the event, even bringing in Emily Blunt in on the fun.

Image via Instagram

Many of the kids are – not surprisingly – filled to the brim with laughter when taking photos, getting ‘The Rock’s’ signature and hugging the beaming actor.

Image via Instagram

At the very end of the event, Johnson surprises his fans with one last treat – a goodie bag filled with amazing gifts including one year’s supply of movie tickets, a Disney swag bag, Under Armor clothing and an exclusive Jungle Cruise X-Box One, complete with a year’s supply of games.

Image via Instagram

Johnson goes onto say why exactly the annual event is so close to his heart.

“This kind of thing where we’re delivering happiness to kids who need it and parents who need it is very special. The kids say that I inspire them, which is awesome, but the irony about it is they have no idea how much they inspire me.”

Two Players Knelt During The National Anthem In The Opening Weekend Of The NFL Season

The NFL sure has had their share of controversy in the past few years. Whether they are dealing with domestic violence, concussions or kneeling during the anthem you can bet that each week during this NFL season people will be talking about non-football topics.

SEE ALSO: 10 Surprising Facts You Might Not Know About Donald Trump

Before the official season ever started, Nike torched the world with their new ad campaign and sent people into a frenzy, tapping on Colin Kaepernick to star in their latest ad. While that was still hot in people’s minds, the first week of the NFL season came and went and only two players knelt during the National Anthem.

Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson of the Miami Dolphins took a knee and began the 2018 season with continuing their protest of police brutality in the United States.

The two also did this during a preseason game. Colin Kaepernick tweeted in support of the two afterwards saying, “My Brothers @kstills and @ithinkisee12 continue to show their unwavering strength by fighting for the oppressed! They have not backed down, even when attacked and intimidated. Their courage will move the world forward!”

This all happens during turmoil within the NFL about this kneeling rule. Earlier in the year the team owners put a policy in place that would ban players from doing just this thing. The NFL Players Association filed a grievance against this rule and nothing has moved forward since this happened in July.

Stills and Wilson were the only ones to kneel but others participated in the protest as well. Marquise Goodwin of the 49ers (Kaepernick’s last team), Russell Okung of the LA Chargers both raised a fist during the anthem.

In other forms of protest, Duane Brown, Branden Jackson and Quinton Jefferson of the Seattle Seahawks stayed inside the locker room during the anthem.

Even before all this happened, of course Donald Trump weighed in on the subject.

He must have still been thinking about the NFL for the next hour and how he wasn’t able to buy the Buffalo Bills back in the day because he complained about the ratings.

He linked the anthem protests as the reason to why there was a decline in ratings. Other actual experts speculated that it was because the game opened with a weather delay, which makes a lot of sense.

SEE ALSO: See The Changes Donald Trump Made To The Oval Office

Trump has repeatedly said that the protests are about race relations but how can he say whether or not that’s the fact when he isn’t the one protesting. Malcolm Jenkins of the Philadelphia Eagles, who co-founded the Players Coalition, was on the field for the anthem, but before the game had tweeted about what the real problems they were fighting for were.

Trump hasn’t tweeted anything out since his Sunday morning NFL outburst, but as the season picks up don’t expect him to halt on this topic.

26 Tweets About The Controversial Nike And Colin Kaepernick Ad That Are Too Dang Funny

If you’ve been living under a rock, WAKE UP! Some crazy stuff has been going down involving Nike and Colin Kaepernick. The company, along with Kaep, posted this image and it set off conservatives to no end.

For some reason when things like this happen, the next option for people on the opposing side is for them to burn their existing apparel, like that would help.

For example this guy had already bought these socks but then destroyed them. Yeah you really showed them.

It’s safe to say that Twitter had some hilarious jokes about these silly people.

Donald Trump Was Pouting In The Oval Office And It’s The Internet Latest Meme

When you Google Donald Trump, what comes back to you is some form of weird news of the day from the POTUS. He was recently very sad about that had tried to fight with the inanimate algorithm over Twitter. I imagine that he sat at his desk in the Oval Office and looked something like this latest meme when he wrote those Tweets.

He also struck this Presidential pose when asked about John McCain’s death this past week. The White House raised the American Flag to full mast before the former Senator’s body was even laid to rest, something that is very uncommon.

He responded to those questions with a very Trumpesque pose and the internet couldn’t help themselves to mock him.

Don’t worry they don’t really get any better (or worse) from whatever viewpoint you have.

This one relates to what’s going on inbetween POTUS’s ears every night when he eats dinner:

Many felt that maybe Trump was just having a gassy day…

Superheroes Surprised This Boy After He Had Only One Friend Show Up To His Birthday Party

Growing up is hard and I can only assume that it’s become harder with kids having access to the internet all the time. Life was particularly rough for a boy, Max, celebrating his seventh birthday.

He had a party set for 30 of his closest classmates at a trampoline park. I don’t know about you, but I would be at that party for sure! Sadly though only one classmate and his sister showed up to the party. Instead of saying, “Hey that’s life kid” his mom called The Buzz, a local radio station in Houston, Texas to just share how disappointed her and her son, Max was.

Images Via Chron

It turns out that someone special was listening to the other end of the radio, Wonder Woman! Well it wasn’t Gal Gadot but it was Brandi Coatsworth who cosplays as Wonder Woman. She’s a member of a cosplay group, Houston Cosplay for Charity, and wanted to help.

So she rounded up all her best friends including Batman, Deadpool, Captain America, Starlord and more and they surprised him at a party that they and Max’s mother organized.

Images Via Chron

Susan spoke about how it all came about in an interview:

“Anyone who knows Max and his story was just heartbroken for him. He’s such a great, kind kid that it’s hard to hear something like that happened.

When [the radio show] forwarded Brandi’s email, I was floored. I had no idea something like that would or could happen.

I wasn’t looking to get anything out of it, or any attention at all. The fact that Brandi and Houston Cosplay for Charity jumped in the same day my email was read on the air made my heart smile.”

Images Via Chron

She went onto say:

“The superheroes jumped in our corner without a second thought and have done more than anyone could ask to make sure Max had the best birthday ever.

I will never be able to thank them enough.”

You can see on the face of Max in the video below that he was also very impressed. He gives a big hug to each hero as they walk in, and I wish my birthday party could be this cool!

Brandi also spoke about the event, saying:

“Seeing the pure joy on his face is why we do what we do, and it really warmed our hearts to see such a sweet child so happy.

The short amount of time you take to do something special can have a huge impact on that person’s life.”

The Office Is Getting A Musical Parody Off-Broadway And It Sounds Amazing

Ever since we got one last “That’s What She Said’s” from Michael Scott fans have been wanting more of The Office. Well say no more because The Office musical is coming to New York this fall! While fans of The Office are no strangers to hearing Michael Scott or Andy Bernard breaking out into song, this will be a refreshing look on your favorite characters of beloved Scranton Paper Company.

It will be opening at New York’s Jerry Orbach Theater on September 20th, 2018 and it comes from the minds of past parodies like Bayside! The Saved by the Bell Musical, Full House! The Musical and the FRIENDS! The Musical Parody. Basically if you are watching a musical and are feeling all the nostalgia feels then Bob and Tobly McSmith are behind it.

The musical seems to begin just as the show did according to their website:

“It’s a typical morning at Scranton’s third largest paper company until, for no logical reason, a documentary crew begins filming the lives of the employees of Dunder Mifflin…”

While we haven’t heard who will be playing the iconic Michael Scott role. The other roles have been billed and many actors and actresses will be playing multiple rolls. For example Pam and Erin are played by Taylor Coriell or Jim and Andy are played by Tom McGovern.

I haven’t heard of Michael Santora before but he’s billed on their website to play Dwight and his headshot screams that he’s a beet expert.

If you are a musical and The Office fan this will probably seem like heaven to you. Just read the titles of some of the original songs that are slated to be performed. According to Broadway.Com:

“The Office! A Musical Parody features an original score by Assaf Gleizner, including songs titled “Scranton: The Electric City,” “Why Is There a Camera Crew?,” “Welcome to Diversity Day,” “That’s What She Said!,” “Did I Stutter?” and more. Casting and an exact first-performance date will be announced at a later time.”

The show is running from September 20th to December 31st. So if you needed a reason to get to New York you have it now!

If you need a little brush up on Office trivia until the play opens, take a look at some of our favorite Office factoids here:

1. Steve Carell didn’t want to watch the UK version of The Office beforehand because he didn’t want to simply imitate Ricky Gervais’ version of the character.

2. John Krasinski and Brian Baumgartner would spend almost every lunch together in Baumgartner’s trailer playing John Madden Football.

3. The document being highlighted in the opening credits scene is a copy of the Los Angeles Municipal Code, Section 12.22.

4. Oscar Nunez, who plays Oscar Martinez, didn’t think the show would be a success, so kept his jobs as a server and a babysitter when he first got the role.

5. Many of the cast’s characteristics were intentionally incorporated into the character’s personalities throughout the series.

6. Pam’s lactation consultant after she gives birth in “The Delivery” is actually Fischer’s real-life husband, Lee Kirk.

7. Seth Rogen auditioned and was considered for the role of Dwight. Adam Scott and John Cho auditioned for the role of Jim.

8. Krasinski, Mindy Kaling, and Ellie Kemper were all previously interns at Late Night With Conan O’Brien.

9. At this early lunch Carell said, “Of all the roles I’ll end up doing and all the films I may shoot, I believe that Michael Scott may be the role I’ll always be most known for.”

10. Pam’s painting is replaced with a motivational poster for a few episodes in Season 6, but reappears later in the same season.

11. Brian Baumgartner (Kevin) and Ed Helms (Andy) attended the same high school.

12. When the Stamford branch and Scranton branch merged, the idea was to eventually alienate, fire, or cause all of the Stamford character’s to quit, but Ed Helms was so funny they decided to convert him into a series regular.

13. During the first season of the show, the actors were told to bring in paperwork to keep busy when they were doing background work, as they didn’t have real computers.

14. Oscar Nunez had the only computer with a working speaker and would mostly use it to play videos of people falling over and bumping into things.

15. In “Launch Party” John Krasinski accidentally signed his own name on to Meredith’s cast instead of Jim’s.

via GIPHY

16. The cast and crew always wrote and shot more footage than they needed to. Many of the episodes could have been hour long.

17. Spinoffs were planned for both Andy and Dwight to get their own shows but eventually fell through.

via GIPHY

18. Krasinski and Rainn Wilson would give each other tips during Jim and Dwight’s quarrel scenes, and many of their best improv lines and directives came from the other.

via GIPHY

19. Smith is 11 years older than Steve Carell, despite many references indicating their characters are supposed to be the same age.

via GIPHY

20. Steve Carell had seriously active sweat glands, so the temperature on set had to be kept at a cold 64°F, until they eventually invested in space heaters.

via GIPHY

21. Jim and Pam’s first kiss was John Krasinski’s first ever onscreen kiss, about which he may have lied to Jenna Fischer when she asked if he’d ever done it before.

via GIPHY

22. After Michael fell into a Koi Pond at a sales call, many of the employees changed the screensavers on their computers to fish tanks.

via GIPHY

23. Rashida Jones thought she was going to be fired her first day on set for laughing at Steve Carell’s improvising.

24. Novak was the first person to be cast. He was also hired as a writer, starting the tradition of writer-performers wherein many of the writers would star in the show and many of the actors would contribute to writing.

via GIPHY

25. Krasinski had to cut his hair for the film Leatherheads, so he was forced to wear a wig for the last six episodes of Season 3 of The Office.

via GIPHY

26. Rainn Wilson wrote a blog for Dwight, even though now it only has that one page.

via GIPHY

27. In “Gay Witch Hunt”, the script only intended for Michael to hug Oscar, so when Carell improvised the kiss, the cast’s reactions were completely authentic.
