The new parents of a rescued pit bull are discovering not just how sweet but also how sensitive their dog Luna is.
Luna entered the world in a difficult situation as she was born to a very pregnant and homeless pit bull who was taken into a foster home right before having 12 puppies.

Thankfully, many weeks later, the mother pit bull named Melon – along with her dozen babies – began to be adopted, thanks to a shelter in Tennessee called the Humane Educational Society.
And this was the beginning of Luna’s forever home family. A young couple in Chattanooga, Josh Myers and Hannah Huddleston, decided to add Luna to their family and adopt the sweet pup.
When the couple first brought home Luna, Huddleston will never forget holding Luna in her arms while Myers drove.

In the few months sweet-heart Luna has been apart of the family and continues to grow closer to Myers and Huddleston.
But it was what Luna did the other day that surprised them.
While they were watching the animated Disney classic, “The Lion King,” Luna started to “wildly” play with her toys.
But when the movie took a dark turn, Luna stopped what she was doing.
“Right as Mufasa falls to his death, she stops and turns to the TV to watch,” Myers wrote.
And as Simba attempts to wake his dad up on the screen – Luna starts to whimper.
“To see her crying at the TV was the sweetest thing I think I’ve ever seen,” Myers shared. “She even lays down right after Simba lays with his dad.”

But Luna is not the only pup who has a soft spot.
According to Brad Ladd – the man who adopted Luna’s brother – shared how he along with the whole litter of rescue pit bulls are the sweetest pups.
“The backstory on this puppy proves that nurture is WAY more important than nature!” Lad shared.
“They were loved and spoiled more than any puppies ever.”
The family is known as The Melon Dozen and they still get together for play dates so the siblings can continue to interact as they grow up.
If that is not the sweetest thing you have heard today, than you are a monster — to put it frankly.
“We don’t deserve dogs,” Myers continued. “Four months old and she’s already showing empathy.”

The internet responded, with most praising the sweet pup. One user shared:
“Every time I see this, as she starts to whine, I can’t help but tear up. Such a sweet and precious fur baby. I wish all pit haters could see this. I love pits, and Luna just makes me love them even more. Also shows that animals have feelings, and are compassionate.”
While another noted how the dog’s reaction wasn’t as it seemed….
“Most likely responding to the changes in the film’s score. Maybe she’s able to pick up a bit of the distress in Simba’s voice. Highly cognitive animals, such as Parrots and dolphins, can be very responsive to music. Clearly, the dog can’t comprehend what she’s watching.”
Regardless, I think we can all agree Luna is one sweet pup.
